Who knows? I just thought it mildly interesting. It wasn’t all that long ago we were watching 1 million clock over and getting quite excited about it.

Re: Indesit W123 Error Code Three?

An error code is represented by a repetative pattern of flashing lights from the start lamp whilst the dial clunks round.. Normally, three quick flashes indicates that the programme has been accepted and things should proceed…

I suspect that you are describing a motor fault – select programme, door locks, nothing happens. In this case, go straight for the drive motor and check the carbon brush gear.

Article on carbon brush drive motors can be found HERE.

A selection of Indesit carbons (one of which will fit your machine) can be found HERE.

Power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.

Whilst it’s far from the finest washer ever built, carbon brush wear is a maintentance job and should at least be investigated.

Sounds odd… I suppose it’s possible that the dispenser has cracked, but it would be unusual.

Replacement is HERE if you are sure that’s what you need.

Power and door outer panel off for access; memory says that there are a couple of locking bars with screws to undo to change it.

The fitting on the vent into the tub unscrews – that’s about it really.

Check inlet into top of pump and tub to pump hose for blockages. If it’s connected to a sink spigot, check that as well.

    Is the pump actually running?

Power off if you finish up under the machine.

Probably the leakage error – machine has detected that the water level is falling after the fill period.

Check filter. If no improvement, check tub to pump hose and drive motor carbon brush gear. If connected to a sink spigot, check that as well.

Power off if you finish up under the machine.

91941698 is the O ring part number and they are sold individually…

Any decent bearing/transmission place will stock generic O rings and might be a cheaper solution – failing that, sealant.

Sounds like the reed switch has gone dicky. The replacement fill chamber includes the pcb with the reed switch on it, so it’s all ready to go.

    Part is HERE.

Assuming that you have continuity to the heater, all that’s left is the pcb. Switching relay may have failed, or there is a logic error.

Connection burning out at heater is a possibilty, dry joint on pcb is possible but unusual on these.

Power off if you intend to resolve this yourself.
