ParticipantRe: ISE Insurance backed Warranty?
The offer of having the machine picked up and your money refunded is enough surely.
My only ‘gripe’ here would be that the information was not readily available at the time of purchase of the new 1607, but that was an unfortunate occurrence rather than a deliberate action. Maybe withholding the sale of the new machine until the website was up and running would have been the only way to avoid all this bad feeeling for ise but many people would not have been able to wait for this. And another thing how many times do you actually get the chance to speak to the real people involved in the business you are purchasing from, answer me that! And how many companies will give you every detail of everything they claim about their products or warranties/guarantees etc.
My 1607 will be here next thursday from my local supplier and i will not be returning it or cancelling my order. I will hope that i will get some sort of certificate now that ise are ‘insuring’ the machines themselves, that would be nice. But i have seen many items, mine, friends and relatives products that say 2 or whatever years of guarantee and i have not really seen any proof of this! The fact the ise are setting up a seperate ‘account’ for the warranties of their products is far better than most, if not all, other companies, who if go bust their customers get sod all!
There are some rather rude, for want of a better word, comments on here which are uncalled for, ise have explained their position so if you dont like it then ‘bail out!’
I think ise have been very reasonable in being available to answer questions, yes customers should have their queries/worries answered but i think ise have done that, where other companies would not have!
I for one am happy to do business with ise and would do again as this was an error not a deliberate move.
Best wishes to ise, i hope they go from strength to strength and not just for the next 10 years!!! 😆

PS i remember when i pm’d ken only a short while before the new 1607 went on sale he told me that the machines would have to go up by at least £100 which proves to me what he says on here about the insurance backed warranty price increase. 🙂

ParticipantRe: ISE Insurance backed Warranty?
hi all,
I will soon be receiving my new 1607 :bounce: and after reading this i am actually rather relieved and happy to read that an insurance company is not involved in the warranty anymore! I am purchasing an ise10 because of the way it is built, ‘like a tank’, and for its longevity and obviously due to the 10 year warranty, (but only partly i must add). As far as i can see as long as this new arrangement is set up as a seperate structure, which obviously it will be as the folks at ise must have their ‘heads screwed on’ going by their products and ideas! Also i am now thinking that us the customers will now get some sort of document to this effect, which will make everyone feel more secure!
It was obviously a shame that the website was not up and running before the machines were available, but i do not think it was not meant to mislead anybody, i truly believe that the ise people wouldnt do this!
I for one am 😀 to read this!

ParticipantRe: New ISE10 CD601W Tumble Dryer
hi ken,
I do usually have a blow heater in the outhouse in the winter due to pipes, taps etc and i did think about using polystyrene under, above and eitherside, but perhaps this will not be enough either 🙁
As i said it would only be used on very few occasions, so perhaps i will just’ carry on as berfore’
thanks for advice

ps thanks for all your help in securing my 1607 🙂quickwash
ParticipantRe: AEG 86741>> Fabric softener problem
hi seamy,
That is what i do if i have had that problem in the past! Thought i was doing something wrong, so glad when i just read your post 🙂
Although i no longer use softener as i was told by a local engineer that it was one of the worst things to use in a washing machine as it can clog up the works 🙁
I am no longer using liquid either since reading up on here about them, a very interesting bit of information that i pass on to everyone i know who uses liquids! :lesson: I think it is in the section about keeping your washing machine free from that black gunk!

ParticipantRe: New ISE10 CD601W Tumble Dryer
Hi jaunty,
I would be tempted to use it probably too much i think! Wonder what the electricity consumption of a dryer is nowadays? I had a washer/dryer that lasted 17 years (would you believe an indesit!) but the longevity of that particular appliance was probably due to the fact that i used the dryer part only 3 times!
I would have to put any dryer i had in the outhouse as there is no room in my kitchen and i think i read somewhere that a vented dryer may be better for use in an area of extreme varying temperatures, i this correct please?
thanks all 🙂

ParticipantRe: New ISE10 CD601W Tumble Dryer
Didnt think ise would bother to make a new model if there wasnt much improvement! If i used a tumble dryer often then i would be buying one to match my 1607 when it arrives, which i hope will be soon! :bounce: I have considered a tumble dryer for use very occasionally, a dozen times a year if that, to be precise. But i wouldnt know what make i would have if i didnt have an ise!
When my 1607 washer comes i will be  watching the first load!

ParticipantRe: Help Me Choose My Oven – Ready To Pull Trigger
hi iadom,
I just realised what the DeDe was on your post. Makes sense what is said in the write-up. I dont mind using a slightly different company sometimes but if the service back-up is not there then it aint for me!
When i read up on ise products however it was a completely different story, what with the ingenuity of using local repairers, producing products that will last with long guarantees plus cheaper parts when products are out of guarantee, I started saving for a ise10 washer straight away! The folks at ise really deserve the big  for jumping off the bandwagon and taking on the ‘big guys’ :brave:
I think i will go for a f/s, d/o cooker, but am yet to decide which one for sure. Anymore help with this decision will be gratefully received. 🙂 Wish ise made a cooker!
thanks all

ParticipantRe: Help Me Choose My Oven – Ready To Pull Trigger
thanks everyone,
The main reason i like a double oven is due to where the grill is, i didnt really like the single oven i had last time as the grill was in there as well.
I could probably manage now as i have a combi microwave.
What do you guys in the know think of the belling FSE60DO?
I do like the cooker above but i think a little rich for my pocket, like that self cleaning bit though!

ParticipantRe: Help Me Choose My Oven – Ready To Pull Trigger
thanks for that strocky, looks a nice cooker, hadnt thought of bosch for cookers but i think i would prefer to have a double oven, although not essential. What do people think about the pros and cons of single/double ovens?

ParticipantRe: Help Me Choose My Oven – Ready To Pull Trigger
hi all,
I am not trying to hijack your post but it was an excellent title for my question :tup:Anyhow, now that i have my new ise10 on order :bounce: I am on the hunt for a good ceramic hob freestanding cooker, i can have 500,550 or 600mm width. I usually buy products from manufacturers who are producing a particular item, the only time i have not done this is by using british gas for my electricity (it was a hard decision but a good deal). So back to the cooker, i will consider new world, belling, cannon or another ‘cooker make’. I have been considering a belling FSE60DO in black (yes black) but would have a different colour. So any recommendations would be appreciated.
thanks in advance

ParticipantRe: ISE appliances – some thoughts
Sorry but just another little quick one! Like high-water-level said, when you think about years back a washing machine was a luxury few could afford and if they could it would be many weeks of wages, but compare that with nowadays! :waving:

ParticipantRe: ISE appliances – some thoughts
I for one will be! If people looked into the purchase of a new washer like they do a new tv etc, then there would be no compromise i’m sure! 🙂
I cant  can i!
Got to now though, as off to unload the ‘disaster buy’ of my old servis! :rotl:
