    Re: Aeg 75238-GA1 freezer

I have this machine playing up as well it runs ok then cuts out when it wants then pulls all the way down to -18 and it’ll be fine for a day or so then temp will creep up evaporate ain’t iced up and heater etc is closed circuit, originally I could here some chattering from the pc pb when it cut out the first time so I changed the pcb and it seemed ok for about 4days then started playing up again!

Has anyone had any issues with these?

    Cheers chris

Would that not effect the freezer temp as well?

    Hi

When using r600a compressors due to them being more efficient and a higher displacement then you can go down one size. what was r134a 1/5 can have a 1/6 on the unit. compressors are not generally measured on there wattage by engineers but by either 1/4. 1/5. 1/6. 1/8. 1/10. Which are what the manufacturers also quote.

so on an american fridge freezer i can fit a 1/4 horsepowerr r600?

    Re: Not Covered By Warranty

I can forward the moulded plug as I kept it,fault was tripping breaker as soon as switched on checked the machine and changed the plug and all is now well.

I sent a job request to Amica but they knocked it back as plug ain’t warrantied they said ,I understand if it’s the cable which has been damaged etc but a moulded plug?

I’ll forward the job details to you in a pm as well

    Re: Not Covered By Warranty

I think you need to add that Amica won’t pay for a fault with the moulded plug as I found out the other day after being called out as it was tripping the electric and changed the manufacturers plug and all is well again however Amica say the plug is not under warranty ❓ ❓ so guess who loses out.

Just and update on this it turned upt to be the main pcb underneath the machine at fault.

      Cheers Chris
