HI, F2 is water leakage. Silly question but is it syphoning? Drain hose needs to be at least 700mm high. If its dry in base plate, can’t think of anything else. cheers Rob

This by the sound of it a control board fault. If you can set the temp then it won’t have anything to do with the start button. Unless you use the timer or turn the machine off at the wall, you never need to use the centre microswitch. cheers rob

    Re: REDUNDANCY ROGUES

I still don’t understand why Bazil didn’t make me redundant. All this ill feeling could have been avoided. Link still owe me £16,892 won in an employment tribunal. I think it would be honourable if the ex M.D. was to make a peace offering other than telling people to look in the mirror. Some people move on but they don’t forget things of this magnitude overnight. It would be nice to have some sort of personal correspondance to resolve this matter.

    Re: REDUNDANCY ROGUES

I’m sorry Brian/Bazil, but I can’t believe the words you have written. If you think back, I worked hard for you to try and make a better living for myself. You was the one who failed to pay me holiday pay or give me a coherant working contract. You also told me to lie to Martin at Service 87 about the area. You knew full well what you was doing. You also knew that by the time the tribunal would be long after you had put Link to bed. Its easy for you to put it to bed, but I can’t… I’m in debt because of you. All of my savings are gone. I’m now stuck in a 2nd floor 1 bedroom flat with a 6 month old baby with no hope of getting out. You lost on every count in court because you broke every employment law that was put before them. You also knew that Service 87 had no obligation to employ me. It worked out that Link still had 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my job. Mike Raynor fully qualified for T.U.P.E. but because he was a senior engineer he stayed. You would rather have 2 engineers travelling miles to work than keep me on. All I can say is… You must have hated me to do what you did.
    Signing off, Robwash

    Re: REDUNDANCY ROGUES

Hi kwatt, as the person whos actually had a judgement i can try and shed some light…
When Link stopped operating, they still had the Whirlpool contract. They simply called everyone in and told everyone that was it, and there was no money left. After I lost my job back in Feb 07, Brian Bradley sold all the Link assets including the freehold to the offices and the flat upstairs over the next 6 months. He was simply winding down the company to ground zero, without anyone knowing but his family. I suppose once he had done this, he then got rid of everyone else.
After speaking to many of my ex-colleagues, we were all under the same conclusion…
When I lost my job there, Link had only lost 40{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my job as proved in court. Even though 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my job was still at Link, Mr.Bradley still tried to T.U.P.E. transfer me to Service 87 who had gained the G.U. postcode areas. The reason for this was because I was starting grievance procedures against him because he had failed in 5 yrs to produce a contract of employment for me. He had also failed to pay me any holiday pay for nearly 2 yrs.
He was always going to lose in a tribunal with me. He should of made me redundant. It would of only cost him a few grand. He simply would not and has not done the right thing.
So now the state of play is officially…Link are NOT in liquidation..or insolvent…or gone bust….assets are zero…LINK have simply vanished…
But they haven’t have they. How can this be right? Why don’t the directors assets get seized? LINK may be a name but its their LINK. Why is it allowed that you can do this. It should be made law that in these cases, all debts should be seized to the directors personal fortune. This will in turn stop redundancy rogues from going into buisness in the 1st place. You might have to sell a car or 2…Maybe in some cases a house in Spain, but at least you can say that you did the right thing by the people who helped you get the house in the 1st place.
I now am owed money from LINK, but how do I get it??? Apparently I’m meant to go to county court. So I spend the £300 and LINK get a CCJ. So then what??? Mr.Bradley doesn’t get the CCJ, Link do, and theres no assets. What does it all mean? This I’m afraid is where the law breaks down and protects the employer. I now understand the term “limited” in the company name.
I hope this gives you a clearer picture. Robwash

Check pump impellor and sump hose for coins, the pump neck is very small. Sometimes motor wires can come loose too.

    Re: Service Engineer Somerset/E Devon

Hi, I’m a sub-contract engineer who is looking to move away from London. I used to work for Link Appliance Ltd in Bournemouth until they lost a contract and tried to transfer me to Service 87 in Alton. This didn’t happen so I was left without a job and had to go through a tribunal, which I won. I was left with no option but to start my own buisness (R&J Domestics) which is going really well.I have also been employed by another service partner of Whirlpool, and have been given an area by them in West London. I seem to be able to do their 10 calls a day, and usually have 3 or 4 calls daily for myself. I have to say that the last year has been very eventful, but London is now getting too expensive to work in due to parking meters and conjestion charges. I have been wanting to move my family to the Somerset area for a while, but won’t commit to it unless I can get some contract work. I have my own Mercedes Vito, tools and stock which I own. I have a Whirlpool S.A.M. unit for diagnosis and timer reprogramming. Over the past year I have also turned myself into a multi-brand engineer and am not daunted by anything. I am 37 yrs old with 17 yrs experience in the trade. If you are interested please call 07806854244. I am away in Spain visiting family at the moment but will be back on Tuesday 12th Feb. many thanks Robbie Townsend

Re: ROGUE TRADERS ON THIS SITE!!!!!!!!

Hi, I know that you might know Glyn or Brian, but what has happened is all true. There are no liquidaters as Link haven’t collapsed. Unfortunately as you will find out after other ex link employees will post threads on the site. The only story is that they have done a runner and no I wouldn’t have done things the same. As an employer, you have a moral obligation to the people who are making you rich. This is what happens when you have no morals. If can remember please, I have had a legal judgement that proves that Link are in the wrong. This is not a matter or bad mouthing them… They have done many wrongs to people who are within our industry. Engineers lives have been ruined due to these people. People need to know. I have had this infomation for nearly a year but kept quiet until I won the court case. The T.U.P.E. rules were quite clearly spelt out to us in court and I didn’t qualify. Martin at Service 87 who were the company I was supposed to be tranfered to knows what happened. He was in court with me. Link failed in every count. Never answered 1 letter from the court. Never made me redundant. They only thing they have done is run and hide. cheers

Re: ROGUE TRADERS ON THIS SITE!!!!!!!!

Cheers. can we try if possible to track these types as our trade is suffering enough with discount machines. We certainly don’t need Arthur Daly types(sorry if your real name is Arthur Daly) in our industry. Lets keep up with this and any new info from anyone about trading names for this outfit should be posted on the public forum so noone gives these dishonest people any money. I hope in this day of service partners and call centres owned by insurance companies, that b4 you enter into these agreements…just remember that if it was done to you what has been done to me and my friends, bmw’s may turn into Mazeratis…but can you look into the mirror when the light goes out?…Brian Bradley and his offspring Glyn must really think they are clever laying off nearly 20 people with no responsability admitted by them. At least they keep the cars eh. How cruel. Scrupples, Integrity, The mirror. All these things are missing from these peoples lives. Greed will always bite you on the bum!!!Always!!!

    Re: pulsing whirlpool adp4500

Hi, When you say pulses, do you means as if the power is going on and off? all things do point to the control board. the NTC can make the machine run a bit funny, but it does sound like the control board. The ntc is a handy part to have on van stock as you can test it before you fit it. Have you counted the flashes? If it doesn’t stop its F1 = NTC. I have yet to fit anything else for F1 and I am a Whirlpool engineer. Personally I would test that the power going into control board wasn’t pulsing as well. Easily done through on/off switch. Uless you plug an NTC in, you won’t know for certain if its a control board. I have a SAM unit and 1st of all i would test with that and reprogram the timer at the same time. By doing that you can find out if there is an eprom error in the board or narrow down a fault. I hope this has helped. cheers Rob

    Re: Whirlpool ADG 957

hi, this machine is too early for diagnostics. Every fault shows up the same. You need to check the WI (membrane switch in sump) can be cleaned but better replaced. If you have an ntc its not a bad idea to simply plug a new one into the control board at the bottom to see if it clears the fault. ntc fault will clear straight away. Other than that, check all the usual, pump, element etc. These older dolphin models can be hard to pinpoint the fault… good luck, cheers Rob

Thankyou everyone for your help. I’m sure you all agree that theres nothing worse than taking something completely apart at the end of a very long week and finding nothing wrong but it still doesn’t work. Am I right in saying that the pump could be blocked or failed? cheers

Re: Bosch WTE86304GB/05 drier filter light on?

HI. even still, she has no reciept so we have to assume that i’m fixing it. I don’t understand this website sometimes. We are after service calls and I always see moderaters and other people helping the public. Every time I see someone answer a question to the public…another call out charge is losted. You have to understand that a bosch engineer who works for bosch isn’t going to give or know all the answers. Thats why he or she still works for Bosch. Its crazy for someone to answer a question when he still doesn’t answer a question. Sorry if I seem brash but if you look at my question…am i any closer to a remedy? Do we need to answer…no but we seem to be having a chain of emails for no reason. Wouldn’t it be better to tell everyone to answer only if an answer is available, and not just ask “am I sure if I have checked”..or maybe by someone who has experienced the question. Once again thankyou for your moderation Martin but too many things like call out charges are lost on this website. The public section should be closed and the engineers should be verified like i am. Too many public on trade enquiries. I only ask a question after my fool proof test procedures have failed, and I don’t answer people unless I have had experience in that field. I am an approved and trained Whirlpool engineer and I see faults on here that I have never seen or heard of on Whirlpool appliances.I look and wait if i don’t know. Sorry to chew ear but lets all think about the buisness cos the way things are going, there won’t be one left soon if we keep answering the punters or giving wrong or no answers. We need definates and not are you sures…Rob

many apologies, the customer has lost the reciept hence me being there. sorry if i caused offence. I would just like some sort of clue to what it could be other than telling the customer to go to Bosch. After all its all buisness. sorry again. Robwash
