Hi. I am a whirpool engineer and the serial number means it was made in the 50th week of 1999. it has fault diagnosis but it will flash the same for every fault. it may well be an ntc but it could also be any fault. cheers rob

no u need a new control board. sometimes the front board and back boards don’t communicate and will come up with a row of 8’s straight away or after about 5 mins with CF. i wouldn’t buy a front board as yet. put the back board in and see. if it doesn’t work, disconnect the front board and run as it will run its default setting (-18/+5c). You don’t need bi-metal as the fan runs. cheers rob

this machine is too old for fault diagnosis. it may be an ntc or reed contact problem

have you put a new board in? if you have and it still doesn’t come on, you will need a bi-metal stat on evaporater. part no -481232058132. if you put a new board in when defrosted it should start straight away. its the same if you find the machine full of frost. when you put the new board in and it starts straight away it means you need a bi-metal stat. hence not defrosting. hope this helps you. rob

if you count the flashes before it pauses, you can tell what is wrong. if there is no pause it is an f1= ntc failure

    Re: Whirlpool ADG7550 11 flashes?

F11 means you have to change the W.I. switch in sump. normally if glass was in the pump it would flash F4 for not draining. also has the the tube for top spray arm come out as it could be over foaming

On Whirlpool 12 n.c. nos the last 2 are the colour. some undercounter double ovens made by stoves for whirlpool which are stainless steel have the wrong 12 n.c. The number will come out green and not steel

Re: Whirlpool More flashing Start lights!

count the flashes and if there is no pause in the flashes it is F1 meaning NTC. the flashes go up to 11 so make sure u count to 12 before an F1 is recognized
