Thanks to all you guys for your advice, well have managed to Refit heater with your help and has now been running for over 30mins, and very quietly. (what a great forum this is) would have been stuck on this one.

Chris, have fitted a service/ whirlpool element from connect part No WPL481925928745 should this be ok, or would it be better to order the crossley you mentioned, if so have you the part No please. John.

Reg, I had this fault once not sure of make, but the condenser unit wasnt sealing properly although front cover fitted, (reversed) that sorted problem. hope this helps.

paul, yes set to abort program, then restarted new program.
not sure what to look for apart from module, but as usual cant test.

Martin,
I have put correct wires back to side mircos. You told me the colours to check if 240v is reaching the valve(cheers) wanted to know if its normal for cir motor to run before water valve opens, as this may indicate the fault, also was told there was a burning smell when it went wrong.
unusual for flooded base.!!

Steve, thanks for your reply, as I have fitted a new motor and its free running and with no load, cant see any reason why the internal TOC should activate.

Been back to check thermostat & Toc all ok. feel it may be the start switch, which must in turn activate a relay (somewere) but not sure how to test this part, or were relay is suituated. can anyone help please. John
