The other day I went into a house with the small socket set/tool-box I always take in first of all to get me into the machine. My main tool-box is very heavy and stays in the van. After a few minutes I said to the guy that I needed another spanner from the van and would be back in a minute. When I get back in the house he’s rooting through my tool box, half the contents are on the worktop and he says: “You’ve got some spanners in here you know.” 😈
If the job hadn’t been for a building contractor I do a lot of work for I think I’d have told him exactly what I thought of him.

That depends upon the serial no. with some of these machines. QER do exchange boards for these; speak to them.

Get the Whirlpool SIOS disc. £40. 0208 649 5025. It doesn’t expire like the Hotpoint one so after two or three years when it gets a bit out of date you just buy another one.

Some of those Brandts have a thermostat and some a pcb, but I still don’t think it was an isobutane explosion.

Ah thank you! Don’t read the Daily Mail; much too left wing.
There’s no sign of a fire so it couldn’t have been R600 exploding.
It may say Creda on it but it’s a Brandt.

If the capillary connects with an evaporator in the back wall an ordinary VT9 should work properly.
