    Re: Servicenet

    Hi Jim,

    Hope you’re keeping well.

No, didn’t kick them into touch until today after the first visit, as I didn’t know anything about this until Eddie Laycock, who went out on their job on my behalf, alerted me to it. But we’re now doing the job for the customer instead so it’s worked out ok.

In one of the links that boselecta posted above their website says ‘no call-out charge’. They’d charged my customer £79 up-front…..

    Re: Servicenet

Last Wednesday 22nd I was contacted by a company called Service Net asking me to do some work for them. Their address is Hatton Garden London EC1. Their Contractors’ Contract document states that ServiceNet is a trading name of GLG Marketing Ltd.

    Hope this helps.

If you let me have your email address I’ll send you the circuit diagram. The pnc would be useful as there are three version of this model.

Thanks Spimps, but the diagram sheet isn’t there. The control panel on this model is at the bottom as the machine is part of a stacked pair, this is possibly why the model no. is LEZ (which it definitely is) not LES. The schematic would probably be the same though. I’ll try Armstrongs and JLA for the diagram.

That information was spot-on, thanks Mark. It’s actually a very easy job when you realise that you don’t have to unscrew all the burners from the hob top-plate!

Unusually, the instructions for raising the hob top are in the user manual to allow the user to change the gas jets to lpg.

OK thanks Mark. The sides look very difficult to remove and appear to support the whole thing.

Re: Discounted Public Liability Insurance for WTA members

I’ve just renewed with them too. Half the price of my previous insurer, but they debited my credit card twice and made a lot of mistakes on the paperwork and have got to get it all re-done. Don’t think I got the 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} WTA discount either. So check everything carefully.

But it’ll be fine when they’ve sorted it all out.

    Thanks George

Thanks very much Bob. Mine has a 6 pin module and yes it does have the ntc on the module; I hadn’t noticed that before. I’ll order the module.

    Re: diplomat f/f apm6852

But do you happen to know if there should be a resistance across the two non-mains voltage wires, ie if they supply a thermistor, or is the open circuit I’m getting correct?

    Re: diplomat f/f apm6852

I’ve been to one of these today which is dead. The pcb isn’t switching the live on down to the compressor, which runs when the pcb is by-passed. I would have suspected that the pcb is faulty but I’m getting an open-circuit across the two thin wires from the board which I imagine go to the fridge thermistor. Does anybody know if I should be getting a resistance across these, and if so is the thermistor replaceable? Does anybody have a schematic diagram?

    Thanks

Judith and I went to Cosmo in Coventry on the Saturday night after the meeting in February. Not the greatest Chinese food in the world but reasonable, especially for the price. Reserve me one place if it’s on for the Friday night, or two if it’s the Saturday. I’d rather eat in the hotel restaurant than go to Nando’s; can go there anytime.
