andyjawa is there anything I can do if it is actually the condensor? Or is it just unreachable?
dave it definitely is heating up- the machine feels hot during the wash.

Still not got fresh smelling laundry. I have done several washes with- whoops, my memory is failing me! The cleaner recommended on this site and it has improved the smell somewhat but certainly not perfect.

Hi Andyjawa

I have the W! 8kg- the one for £849 listed above. Delighted with it and very grateful for all the advice received here!

Hi Andyjawa

Lots of useful info posted here.
I did end up buying a Samsung freezer, as that was the largest I could find within my budget. I don’t have a fridge-freezer and do stock up on quite a bit of frozen foods, meals, etc so wanted the biggest freezer I could find. So far, so good- i’m delighted with its performance, its super quick to freeze and truly frost free. Now lets just see how long it lasts. It did have a 5 year manufacturers warranty which is also reassuring.

The problem with the Liebherr was that the fan went. I had an engineer come out, he ordered a new fan but it didn’t fit and he said the fan needed is now obsolete so there was no choice but to replace it. Once I’d already bit the bullet and purchased the Samsung, I discovered that here on UKwhitegoods they actually do have the part available. I’m still holding onto the old Liebherr in my garage- debating whether its worth getting the fan or not. To be honest i do seem to have sufficient freezer space and not desperately in need of more space so I will probably dump it one of these days…

Thanks for the advice.

Hi,

The washing machine is in a utility room- not under a sink.
Does that still apply?
I would have to move out the machine but will do it if necessary…

Hi,

I’m slightly OCD with the drawer:) Clean it with an electric toothbrush all the time. Sorry I am clueless, where would I find the waste water sink trap?

Hi,

Thanks for the responses.
So if i’ve not had any trouble in the last few months- I even keep an stool on top of the dryer and its never fallen off with the spinning, so I believe I can make do without.

Thank you!
I had lots of trouble finding a model thats in stock- seems that the lockdown created shortage of appliances. I went down to John Lewis, they didn’t have a single upright freezer in stock!
So I ended up buying a large Samsung simply because that was what I could get my hands on. I do hope it won’t be a choice i’ll come to regret, but then it wasn’t really much of a choice. It was simply that or nothing!
So far it looks marvellous. Really spacious and clean looking. Guess we’ll have to wait and see…

Unfortunately, everything I want is out of stock!
What are Indesit freezers like- are they junk?

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the response.
Should i have any concerns about safety with Hotpoint? I really don’t want to go down that route, but if you say they are built safely nowadays then I will consider it!

Hi.

Thanks for the responses. I’m thinking I might just be better off putting aside the monthly costs of insurance and if anything breaks down, I should use these funds to pay for repair/replacement.
I am rather confused!

I have a Zanussi which is a super quiet. You only hear it when its spinning, and even then very very quiet. I keep checking to make sure its on.

Hi,
I contacted Whirlpool late May re an affected Hotpoint tumble dryer. They contacted me ten days later. I chose a cash option rather than a replacement as i’d lost faith in Hotpoint.
Definitely try online chat with them.
