As I said advise to have a gas safe test after it is reconnected and before using.

It is better to pass this type of work to a gas safe registered person.

It could save you a lot of hassle.

Remember the last person to work on an appliance is responsible for it.

A gas safe test should be carried out after a repair as how do you know a leak was not there before you repaired it or if you have disturbed a joint while you repaired it.

if anything happened after you left how could you defend yourself in court.

You can still repair but get the customer to sign to say you have advised them to have a gas safety check before using.

Another way around it is for the customer disconnects the Appliance from the gas push fitting and reconnects it themselves and signs to say they have done it.

It then makes the customer responsible if they do not take your advice to have a gas safety check.

Better to be safe than sorry.

It looks like it might be the clip for holding the Thermostat in the oven.
Check to see the thermostat is attached in the oven.
The clip also looks like it may have a piece broken off.
It would need the product code number to check.

Thanks to all the team for all there hard work for another successful conference.
It was nice to see everyone again and it was great that it was only WTA members and no BT on Friday night and Saturday morning.
i am sure everyone got lots from it and for the ones who took the opportunity of the training it must have been a great benefit.
More opportunity’s of work if anyone wanted it.
Even though I am retired I would not miss it as I enjoyed seeing friends and making new ones.

It can build up near the sensor and you can also get a build up near the bottom or top of the evaporator this you cannot see without taking it apart.
its only when the evaporator is completely blocked it does not reach the temperature.
Its worth giving it a try.

It’s worth trying a 48 hour defrost as sometimes with a frost free in can build up ice that the auto defrost can’t clear.
This can cause temperature problems if ice has built up.
Empty the fridge and freezer and turn off at the mains and leave the doors open for 48 hours.
When you have defrosted it close the doors and turn it back on and monitor it for 24 hours.
If this does not cure the problem then at 11 years old it’s probably not worth spending any money on it.

I thought Mr Warburton had plenty of dough and used his loaf and used an independent business.
Currys don’t want to know once you have purchased the item.

What makes you think the problem is a PCB as it is not a common fault on this model for the PCB to fail ?
As a PCB is not cheap it’s better to test other things first before you assume the PCB is faulty as you may end up with a money pit.
Spending a fortune on spares for an older appliance or its possible a much cheaper part is required.

Promote yourself online. Use lots of free advertising online e.g. Freeindex and target the private customer ( plenty of them ).
When you discribe your business online make sure you mention items like Fridge, washing machine etc three times in your description list lots of manufacturers names you repair and areas you cover all this helps search engines find you online.
Aim for customers searching your areas covered e.g. Washing machine repairs Bolton .
Every few. Days update or view your own presence online this keeps you relevant online.
Before I retired if someone searched the areas I covered I always was first or second on the search list for the areas I covered.
You will find you do half the work of contract work for the same reward.
The more good reviews you get also lifts your profile.
Before I retired on Freeindex it had me listed as the number one repairer in the country for fridge repairs due to the reviews and all reviews are checked to be genuine by Freeindex.
The only downside is when you retire it takes a long time to disappear online with the searches .
    Best of luck

Yes cashed the cheque as I did not want another Abusive call and did not want to upset an old lady.

Still at least it was another £70 in the bank to make up for it.

I am glad no more having to put up with customers and now one long holiday going to nice places when the sun shines.
