Re: Connect (DPD) 7am wake up texts

I think it is a great system as I am always up by 6am.

It allows you to arrange an alternative delivery day if you have no one available to except delivery.

I also like the text at about 9am with the delivery time within a 1 hour window.

As ken said you can always put the phone on silent if you are expecting a delivery.

    Re: APM2590

The PCB is a common fault on this model if the bulb Blows.

It should be a 3 amp fuse.

This will not cure the problem.

It is only 1 track on the PCB that blows you will see the solder has melted.

If you solder a small length of insulated wire to bypass the soldered track this will solve the problem and save buying a PCB.

It was just a voltage surge that makes the PCB track melt when the bulb blows but bypassing this track safely solves this problem and if you fit the 3 amp mains fuse you know it will blow if there is any other fault .

Re: Diplomat electric oven stopped working

As I advised in my first reply a mains power supply fault.

I advised if the mains was not at fault then the fault would be a thermal cut out on this model.

I hope your electrician did not charge for a second visit as this sounds like he did not carry out a full test you had called him for.

Re: Diplomat electric oven stopped working

Listed as thermal switch but you need to test them first to see if this is the fault.

    2 fitted on this model.

HO19314 and HO19315 on Higena Diplomat Store

But to have 2 appliances at fault this still points to a mains supply fault
It is best to call an appliance engineer to test them.

You will need a Gas Safe engineer for the Hob.

Easy to replace but you will need an appliance engineer to test and repair

Spares are available from the WTA shop or AWS for Trade or Hygena Diplomat Spares online for retail.

Re: Diplomat electric oven stopped working

I would think the fault is with the power supply not the hob or oven.

Check to see where the oven is plugged in to see if there is mains power to it.

You may have a hidden switch in one of your kitchen units that may have been turned off by accident.

This is the most likely fault as you have a problem with 2 appliances.

Or you may have a fuse blown in a mains isolation switch.

The oven you have is unlikely to be at fault.

But if it has a fault it would only be a thermal cut out.

    Thanks Ken

I was in a ward with animals and kids mobiles hanging from the ceiling and my daughter said it should have had pirates on the wall.

At least I was let out of the hospital on Monday so the food is better.

With all the moans about the NHS I can say I had excellent service and could not have got better if I had paid private.

    Thanks Lawrence

I have no chance of getting a boxing licence now so a new career is out of the question.

At least the R26 Gas put in my Eye is covered by by F GAS certificate. 😆

    Re: February 2013 Meeting

    A great meeting as always.

Nice to meet up with everyone and thanks to everyone for the hard work putting the meeting together.

I had to go to bed after the meal at about 11pm as I had a slight blur in my right eye and just thought I was tired .

When I got up Saturday morning it was worse so I went to the opticians as soon as I got home.

The optician sent me to the eye hospital as I had a detached retina.

I had the operation on my eye Sunday Morning this is done with a local anaesthetic so not the best way to spend a Sunday Morning.

The recovery time is approx 4 weeks and three weeks to tell if it was successful the recovery out look is good at 85 to 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} .

You have to lie down face first to recover 50 Minutes in every Hour for 10 days so this is the hard part at least the I pad helps with the boredom .

I don’t need an eye pad on so have to make do with the I pad. 😀

Once the 10 days are up at least I will be able to enjoy the rest

After removing the gel / white of the eye at the back of the eye they fill it with gas.

The gas is R26 so as I am F Gas registered I am ok. 😆

Re: Leisure HJA6100 Diagnostics and any other Info Please

On top the freezer next to main PCB is normally a sticker with the fault codes.

The only fault the HJA6100 normally has is the fan motor in the freezer fails.

The fan also blows the cold air into the fridge.

If the fan fails the fridge is cold at the bottom ( can freeze food ) and not cold enough at the top.

I told them I did not cover the area.

Lets see if that stops them phoning as they do not take no for an answer

    Re: oven tripping main RCD

If the oven switch is in the off position and it still trips the main RCD it will be the selector switch or terminal block shorting

If it trips when you turn on the main oven it will be the element.
