    Re: Bosch ceramic hob`s regulator

Doh!! Ordered the part and there`s a 8 page leaflet with nice clear photos of what you have to do for loads of appliances this reg fits so I now know what I`m doing. Thanks to everyone who looked at the post. When you look up this part, and I looked at 9 sites including bosche`s own site, there is no mention of any `destruction leaflet/s` just some pictures of additional links and tags sat beside the new reg on various websites which is what scared me off a little hence original post.

Update. Suprisingly the destructions that come with the seal are, as you`d imagine, correct i.e it works ok without any nasty leaks. All looks kinda odd that was all.

Well as you see quality is not brilliant but it`s work and that is how the future is going to be: cheap imported jack stuff rather than expensive/over priced jack stuff; much rather work on the `cheap stuff` myself and still make a profit- new drum pulley should fix it. Looks like a bit of a weak point with a Haier machine I went to also, the center hole goes worn aka Hoover plastic drum pulleys from Hoover Logic days of old, bolt then drops off and pulley falls off.

my thanks to Iadom for the manual.
Interesting update and a bit of a wild goose chase too: as you may have read the first post above this was a difficult one to pin point because there was nothing wrong with the element e.g mega ok etc….I changed the pcb yesterday in the hope it was that, it wasn`t, Bugger! I changed this part tested it for 2 washes and worked ok then the trip went off which it had never done before, yes you guessed it was the element. What has /been happening was the continuity of element coil was going open cicuit for 9 secs- a hot spot which a mega will not spot, which of course you cannot see- which was enough for the pcb to sense the element breaking down but sometimes it wouldn`t and the machine would work without a problem to the end; about 1 in 3 times. Now it has finally and permamently has gone o/cir; just needs a new element and the machine should now work; sorting it out next week. Shame the poxy thing didn`t pack up `normally` before buying a new pcb which cannot be returned and so a warning that despite testing to the contrary the 2+4 light fault code is spot on there was just no proof at the time of testing that the element was a duffy.

    Re: bush washing machines

Go ahead and see what you can do for him as I would too; whole point of being in this trade after all. Other points of general interest that are known: the Tesco machine which is no longer being sold is a Vestel as is Pro Action these two machines being from memory the same as is the Swan brand not to be confused with Little Swan which was Chinese. Trouble is with these listed and Haus, W/Knight, Sovereign is that there are several models and not all will be/have been Vestel stuff as others are Haiers from PRC.Weak point on the vestel made machines are motor plug connectors and sometimes motor ( seleni made ) internal wiring which can be fixed without a new motor given the effort. Other weak points are bottom suspension legs wearing and belts all av from qualtex belt as a pattern part too for sensible dosh and I`ve had one or two heater and p/swt faults too. Generally the quality is not brilliant but what would anyone expect for less than 200 quid but the main problem is that people over loading especially in a rented communial situation but then everything else for the same or more than that money is just as bad difference being price of the spare parts. B o Luck. Bush parts are ordered on the model number AND a number beginning with 53 as there are different variations on the same theme.

    Re: bush washing machines

No the recent Bush machines are Turkish brand Vestels and are the same a White Knight washing machines for example and most Currys Logik models and some Haus models. They`re not difficult to repair with the major exception of bearings where unlike some rebadged Haier machines from PRC-e.g some Baumatics, the bearings are not often listed but complete rear tanks are-similar to the situation with the now old wma Hotpoints and so given their low purchase costs and effectively only one main source of parts via Connect and 4ourhouse who charge accordingly! The bearing problem with these machines is you have to take out the whole tank unit which is time consuming but so long as the old bearings are still in one piece it is easy to knock them out and replace them- most arre 6206 and 6205 size and the oil seal is 35x62x10/12 size. point of caution be weary of the front plastic half of the tanks front weith bolts-if you overtighten them the plastic studs shears off.

    Re: door bypass

DPR1974 your spot on. I reckon within 5 years. A sealed disposable basic 5 kg 1200 washing machine in white, pink, lime green etc..for less than 150 quid including delivery with a warranty of one year and he or she who can stretch their machine to work for for 4 years gets a discount off a new one on a buy back scheme for recycling. Actually it`s a great idea and much more eco friendly, in a way, that spending a fortune on a washer. The bic Biro of the pen world here we come. Actually I`ve seen a brand new machine under the Electra label ( 800 spin Vestel made ) for £120 within the last 5 months.

    Re: pro action a105qw

Sorry but don`t know the fault codes at present time.
I do repairs on this make and officially it would seem there are no spares, not even Argos spares ( really partmaster/connect ) do them under the pro action name. What I do is buy the door seal, pattern belt, suspension legs, and element from Qualtex- type `Vestel`in the search box and for everything else I get from ebay where folks have gone down to Argos, bought a brand new machine, then break it for parts for sale-which I may well do myself. Have to say though despite the massive number of machines Argos has sold I don`t see very many as yet, perhaps they`re under some extended warranty of some type and neither do I see many down the tip either. Sorry if this reply is vague as it is all on going and I`ve only just started to repair them….someone has too afterall!
