    Re: Candy GOFS262-80

As expected it was the pcb fooling around and not a heating element , or anything else, earthing fault. Replaced pcb and all is well.
Thanks for comments and it is good to have a megger again.

    Re: Candy GOFS262-80

No but I`ve got a very good meter that I used to test the element on this offending Candy but not a megga which is as you know is a different instrument. Any suggestions for a good make please because I really do need to get one although I loathe the things as when I did have the use of one it used to cause more problems than it solved though I grant you there usefulness if you just want to test individual disconnected components. Used to have one until made redundant, it was theirs and not mine so was given back and have coped well until recently. I agree with you guys that as machines are so very much microprocessor based the slightest thing throws the buggers out and makes them do strange oddball things. As usual I welcome your comments.

No because I don`t have a mega that`s why I disconnected both wires off the element but was still the same.

Update. Was the dc module-thanks Capt`n. I notice that where the track had gone o/circ coincides with a blob of solder only there isn`t a component part only provision i.e. a hole in the board, for a component for another version I presume. It is at this point where it had failed. Soldered fuse wire over broken area and it now works. Tried machine on rinses and then on spin motor sounds as sweet as a nut- no flashes no spark show.

Thanks for your reply-excellent. Going back there in 10 mins time so will check this dc module and motor again. By pure luck I came across the possible answer on another site on this dc mod fault just before checking this site again. THE motors brushes running faces do not look shiney as you`d expect so maybe motor is sparking=duffed up dc module= no motor action. Motor £150 quid though…bug*er!!

Many thanks Dave for the info you e-mailed me. This job never really got resolved in the end as whatever I did seemed to cure the problem- I hit it around the pcb and apparently it has worked ever since: so the Murphy tv cure then!!!

Thanks for reply. Good point. Any idea which triac. There is no heat sink on this pcb to pin-point.

Sorted it out. Seems to work well enough whatever.Strange fault, but strange make of machine. Words such as `Amica, terribly unreliable creations that make even a Pro-Action seem positively brilliant` seem to cross my mind.

    Re: bush w/m a126q

very latest models under this same model number do not have a back chassis cover to remove so you cannot get at the belt or the motor bolts easily without either laying the whole machine on its side, motors on SOME model versions are Selini motors-very cheap ones as you`d expect and it is almost impossible to get at the screws to replace motor brushes without removing the front panel- it`s easy enough to do though.

    Re: siemens washing machine

Anyone ever had this above fault before- went back today (by m/cycle) to have another look at the poxy thing. H20 pressure good through both halves of the double valve, nothing wrong with with soap disp top, only thing I can think of is there is a function that is missing i.e instead of filling for the fab c with both halves of the valve triggered it only does a fill to comp A and then to B but never in to fab c compartment because both valves are not triggered together.-Anyone else from Siemens or Bosch give me some more info please.
What exactly does the flow meter actually technically do being only connected to one valve to dispenser pipe? Anyone?
