Re: Philips Pressurised steam generator GC8225 no steam

    Hi again Martin,

Think it is probably overworked 😛

I live in a soft water area and I do rinse out the steam tank often as well as clean the sole plate. I tried using diluted white vinegar this morning but no difference. I thought about get a product to descale but if the steam isn’t working not sure that would be any good either.

Thanks again for taking time to reply.

    Hi Martin

Thank you for the reply. I do this on a regular basis and looks clear. It worked for a over an hour this morning after I emptied the steam tank but stopped again. It is making a popping noise before it stops steaming.

    Thank you Johnsdad.

See the capacitor is a cheap part so maybe try that first. Is it a dishwasher drain pump for the other part?

Many thanks again for your suggestions.

    Re: Smeg DWI612C Integrated problem

Thank you Penguin45 for your reply and your advice. Not too confident about pulling it out though so will probably call out an engineer. Spoke to a SMEG engineer who said that it looks like the circulator pump had gone and the part was about £180!!! He only switched on the dishwasher and listened to it, never looked at it.

Many thanks again for your help.

    Hi

Problem solved! Needed to replace the PCB (£77 next day collection from local Service Force depot or could be ordered direct from AEG). Took 10 minutes to change and now good as new.

Re: AEG SANTO 3778-8 KA temp warning light keeps coming on

    Hi Chris

It was a ton!!!! It had to be hauled out to paint behind it and I don’t think he will be hurrying to repeat it.

The light inside ours flashes on and off as well. Do you also have that problem?

We are thinking we will have to get someone out to look at it, just hoping someone here might have had any idea first.

Good luck with yours. Will keep you up to date.

    Regards,

    Hi Chris

No, we are still having problems.

My husband pulled the fridge out and emptied water from the back and this seemed to help for a little while but over the weekend the problem is back.

If we resolve it, I will let you know.

    Hi K

    Thank you for your reply.

It is only 3 and a half years old. I have the matching larder freezer so am wondering if I should try and get it repaired.

I forgot to mention in my original post, the light inside flashes on and off when the door is opened also.

    Thanks again

    Tayeh

sorry about this, Graeme is away on business until Thursday now so I will ask him to send it to you again then (way too technical for me I’m afraid.) If yoiu are back in the UK, I don’t mind photocopying it and posting it to you. Sorry again for messing you about.

    Take care

    Re: Indesit W161

Hi I emailed both “info@indesitcompany.com” and “mktg.uk@merloni.com” requesting instruction manual. I received an email from them with tel no 08709 077 077 and when I phoned I was told it was £11.31 for a replacement manual!!!!!

A few days later I received a complimentary manual through the post.

If there is any way I can get a copy to you, please let me know.
