It was just as Bob said. Took all of 10 mins to fit. It was a few weeks ago so dont remember if there were any rivets below.

Re: the guild of master craftsmen

I have been a member for the last 3 years. complete waste of money in my opinion so i cancelled it this year. membership is £280 pa. I am now a member of the trading standards buy with confidence scheme and have been for 2 years. It is free, and they actually come and vet us anually. With just a couple of references anyone can become a guild member which doesn’t really say much for those on their books IMO

In the sticky above titled “diamond h wiring reference” there is a post from kwatt with a link to a very useful pdf showing what each connection does. It covers just about every type of reg.

Get the sink taps on also, reduce the pressure a bit. After a few soakings i have learned to find the taps before pulling out machine.

i have had an account with barclays for eleven years and since having a good moan at my manager about charges 10 years ago, i have not paid a penny since! As Bryan says, they are very easy to contact as well, so if anyone has a barclays a/c give them a ring and see what they can do. It may be well worth it!

    Re: Patching a holed tub

I have a portasol gas soldering iron with variable temperature. it comes with a knife type bit, with the temp turned down a bit it melts the type of plastic used to make tubs really well. Try melting some old bits of tub together first for practice and you’ll see it really works!

Have you checked the switch pcb for dodgy connections around the start switch cos i think the stop light stays on until start is pushed.

i have had one of these where the selector switch had come apart inside, i reckon it will be that, it is actually quite easy to take selector apart and it will be quite obvious if its faulty.

Its a pity we cant all access that site, we seem to have such trouble getting accurate part numbers for candy group products. 🙁

Its been a while since i have seen a supressor do that. I remember the old hoover and 18 series hotpoint ones used to cover the whole inside of the machine with bits of foil!
