ParticipantTo be honest Dave, I can’t remember how to access error codes on this model.
Any pointers welcome.
Many thanks

ParticipantJust hijacking this thread…
would this reed switch be ok for Miele too?!
Thanks Simonsimtoms
ParticipantIt does seem a bit coincidental to have this trouble so soon after replacing the heat pump.
Sounds like the thermistor plug is a sensible place to start.
Thanks for your replies.simtoms
ParticipantHi Dave,
It initially faulted because the drain pump cover had come off but this current issue has happened within a few days of fitting the pump.
Not sure that it was immediate.
Have you ever had a faulty heat pump that might cause this kind of issue?
Thanks,

ParticipantThanks Dave,
I’ll look into that.

ParticipantThanks Dave,
whenever the drum turns it’s very jumpy as though the signal to the motor is at best intermittent.
The effect is that the drum jerks about and after a short time throws off the belt.
It’s almost like the motor is getting conflicting signals to suddenly turn in the opposite direction.simtoms
ParticipantThanks Dave,
no alarm codes when sticking on wash.
Admittedly I haven’t gone into diagnostic mode, and I’m not sure how to on this one.
it can’t be difficult with only two buttons and an on/off switch, but I’d be glad of a heads up!
Thanks

ParticipantThanks gents, I appreciate the pointers. Will get back and dig deeper. If I get stuck, pics will follow… 🙂

ParticipantThanks Murv and Dave
no board fitted RHS in back although connect mention a control board but show no pic. As there’s no board there, I assume no faulty diode.
There is a pic of the board fitted back LHS and it looks like an elaborate motor board (large capacitor and heat sink).simtoms
ParticipantThanks for replies.
It must have the flush covers.
I noticed a circular spot on the side of the lid but didn’t realise that it was a cover.
Appreciate the help.

ParticipantHi Dave,
sorry I didn’t realize I had a response!
Thanks for that.
I’ve left it 10 mins and more but it doesn’t do more than turn the drum.simtoms
ParticipantWell you were bang on Dave, because I ordered the part number you supplied and hey presto!
I’m not going mad after all. Perhaps.
Thanks again.
