    Thanks for quick response Dave,

according to C.nn.ct..ns part number 2437301080 should be right but it does feel as though it’s the wrong board by the fault.
If your info tells you otherwise I’ll try and send this one back and go with your part number.

    Kind regards

Very fair comments, and thanks for helpful opinions.
They’re generally all poor compared to a decade or so ago, perhaps granting the exception of Miele.
I struggle to imagine a turn in the tide, but I like the positivity!

Thanks Grooster, I’ve thought the same myself re the Bekos but then pinch myself for thinking it!
I thought Beko were in the business of making cheap machines for other people, but lately I’ve got the impression that Beko have got someone to make a cheap dishwasher for themselves.
There’s a lot of machines floating in the mire around the bottom rung of the ladder and none seem much better than the others.
Why not go the cheapest, so long as you can give some spares backup afterwards.

Although there was some interesting thing I heard on Radio 4 earlier this week about more pressure to be brought on manufacturers to bring up quality. (Heard that before).
Big joke really- hasn’t happened yet. but as far as the principle goes, bring it on!!!

    Re: Miele W5298WPS

Hi Dave, thanks for reply. There is a low voltage supply to the board, and a small red LED on the main board confirms that when you power up. There’s a large power relay after the mains filter, that the low voltage supply presumably feeds back into from the main board to power up a coil and switch mains voltage to the rest of the machine. I have no low voltage supply to that relay, although the mains power is feeding into it ready to be relayed! Hope that makes sense to someone… anyone 😥

    Re: Bosch W/D program freezing

    Quick update to conclude…
spot on diagnosis BSH-MAN. A mangled sock was stuck in the sump ball, suffocating the pressure system. This made the display freeze mid program after drain time-out.
    Many thanks.

thanks for replies, I didn’t check the sump ball admittedly, and although I checked insulation reading I don’t think I checked for continuity! :clown:

Iadom, thanks for your reply. Customer decided to buy new before I’d priced the job so that’s that! Thanks again.

    Re: WML520P overfilling and stopping

Picking up this thread again, I ordered what was supposed to be the right module for this specific machine and had to send it back as definitely wrong.
The right one is an Arcadia module with part no. C00271127. Please could someone confirm if it needs programming? Many thanks, Simon

    Thanks Johnny,
Having eliminated the hose I was thinking module next.
Maybe they’ll just opt to replace their 3 or 4 year old hotpoint like the thousands of others before them.

Re: Bosch, Siemens heat pump style dishwashers base leaks

After pulling my hair out with my last leaky Bosch D/W, I noticed moisture building up around the main sump gasket.
New sump complete with gasket has cured that one at least 😀

    Thanks Martin,

No, there’s no noises at all once you’ve pressed start. The only noises are when you press the on/off button, and it isn’t the sound of the pump running. Simon

    Thanks for that Ally.
I checked it out and discovered this company are about a mile from my doorstep. I might pop in and get the lowdown straight from the horses mouth.

Bagman mentioned simply tethering your phone to your tablet. Somebody said they can be funny about you doing that and using shed loads of data via your mobile. Right or wrong?! I thought I’d have to get a cellular contract with an ipad.
