    Re: 0800 Repair

I know some of the lads on here work for 0800 but how do they cover the vast range of brands, we cover 3 major ones and that keeps us on our toes to keep to the KPI demands.

I would be really interested on how they can get for example a motor for an LG washing machine to say Belfast within the expected repair times now expect of within 5 working days.

THIS FAULT IS CAUSED BY A SOFTWARE BUG ON THE PCB, CHECK THE BOOT VERS ON THE WHITE LABEL ON THE PCB IF IT ENDS IN (09) IT CAN BE REPROGRAMMED BY SERVICEFORCE WITH “SIDEKICK” IF THE BOOT VERS IS 08,07 ETC YOU NEED TO FIT A NEW PCB.

IF YOU GO INTO DIAGNOSTICS AND CLEAR THE LAST FAULT ALARM IT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT IT MAY COME BACK IF THE BUG IS NOT RESOLVED

    Re: zanussi timer fault?

Replace the timer, this unit is driven by the motor pcb and the wiper contacts on the front of the timer wear, so the coding gets corrupted.

The timer is looking for what “Service Force” call point zero which is a reference point on the cam pack.

    Re: Zanussi ZWF1432S dead.

    Try this trick.

There is a blue lead running from the main pcb on the side to the front interface pcb.

Disconnect this lead from both pcb’s and fit the end that was on the interface to the main pcb and vice versa.

It may come back to life.

These lead carry low voltage and are prone to poor connections.

Our guys carry these as van stock.

This Police Magazine thing is a con, I had the same phone call in Jan 2008 past, it was a very well spoken gent.

I asked him to send out more information but nothing arrived, then in Feb 2008, news broke in press that this was a con and the Police had nothing to do with it..

Re: Zanussi ZX99/5 Frost free 928405932 – Temp alarm going o

The defrost heater wraps around the evaporator in the roof section, the NTCs are also in this section, one is at the front and the other is pushed into the back of the evaporator.

Re: Zanussi ZX99/5 Frost free 928405932 – Temp alarm going o

This problem is normally caused by either an open circuit defrost heater or the NTC sensors out of calibration, these fridges had a problem with the NTC not allowing the defrost cycle to kick in often enough.
Check the defrost heaters and if they are ok, change the NTC’s

Re: Whirlpool side by side fridge freezer problem ‘d’ in dis

The flickering front display is caused by leaky capacitors on the electronic front display. You have to replace the whole front panel.
The “D” fault code indicates the air diffuser that controls the air flow into the fridge section is faulty, normally caused by the shutter been frozen with condensation water.
To solve this you have to replace the diffuser and the back main control board because it has been upgraded to over come this problem.
All in all its a very expensive repair job.

    Good luck

this is a motor fault, these machines rotate the motor first before they fill, check the motor wiring, brushes etc

    Re: Zanussi WJD1257 no heat

🙄 Check the NTC has not been damaged or has burnt. This will stop the heater relay from switching on, also check that the safety level part of the pressure system is closed as this provides the neutral to the heater.
