I may be wrong BUT. An Earth Loop Impedence test has nothing to do with an appliance. You are only testing the integrity of the socket earth.

This may help explain it http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Book/5.3.1.htm

I used this firm a while ago for Electrolux parts, and they do zanussi parts. But you have to set up an account to search the site

    Re: refrigeration repairs.

System repairs, i.e. regassing, compressor changing, etc is usually straight forward. Most colleges will do evening courses on this.

    However;
don’t forget to do your refrigerant handling course,
and you must reclaim all gas for safe disposal
and you must have all the tools, gauges, etc

But, that is the easy bit.
knowing how to fault find, what with thermisters, pcb’s, fan motors, defrost heaters & timers, thats the hard bit

I also got a letter, and my bank manager confirmed that it is not a scam. I also phoned the Zurich responce team, and was told they only lost my buisness name and address, and not any bank details. (phew)

Interestingly, I have never been a customer of Zurich, they got my details from Corgi insurance services when all I ask for was a quote.

    Re: AEG FAV80820W Dishwasher

Thanks for replying. No I havent tried the diagnostics yet. I had another look and the middle spray wont turn. It spins freely by hand. I also removed the right hand side, switched it on, and could see water fill the tube which feeds the spray arm. It just wont revolve when switched on.

I am going to try a new spray arm and bushes

    Thank again

Their not. But expecting you to pay if you leave is not unreasonable.

Leagally a company can impose any rules it wants to in a contract of employment. If you dont agree to the contract, dont sign it.

Although if you dont, then they are within their rights to end your employment.

Re: how to remove whirlpool fan?

i always use a socket extension bar in the square hole in the middle of the fan, and mole grips on the pulley end.

    Works for me

Re: whirlpool dryer drum not turning

The motor has a start winding and a run winding.

When it has started the start winding is disconected by a centrifugal switch, and the run winding takes over. If the spring loaded weights in the motor stick, the switch is stuck in the run position and will just hum when you try to start the machine.

If you get a loud buzz when you try to start it, it usually because of worn motor bearings.

Either way a new motor is the only cure

    Hope that helps

Re: whirlpool dryer drum not turning

as these dryers dont have a capacitor, it will be a motor fault. just make sure the drum is free to turn with the belt off

and the fast freeze neon doesn’t work

and the interior lamp doesn’t work

    Then its probably the PCB
