Re: Free Training from Proctor & Gamble

This thread is very interesting, but how do I go about getting the P&G training?

    How interesting

Whenever I repair a second machine at the same time, I am never quite sure what extra the customer expects to pay.

Double the amount for two machines?
    1 hours extra labour?
    Half as much again?
No extra. (As you were here anyway)

    What do you charge?

    S.

There was once a woman with a D.W built in to her kitchen unit
She tripped over the dog and fell right in it

She landed on the door and bent the hinges
Her husband was shouting and complaining of her winges

Call the man, he said, so he can do a repair
And the dog? He kicked it in despair

    The End

    Re: 60Hz

I have come across a few domestic machines on boats which were converted for 60hz use. The conversions were done by Southern Contracts Ltd of Bournemouth. You could give them a call as they are usually helpfull. 01202 422100

I might be stating the obvious but it sounds to me that some, or all of the refrigerant has been lost.

    Thanks for the replys

eastlmark, you were spot on with the bent pin suggestion. I straightened them and all is now fine. Only thing was, it took me 2 hours from start to finish.

Nothing beats learning the hard way

    Re: low cold water pressure

as far as I know all cold water should be fed directly off the mains water supply.

A few years ago I saw a few machines fed of a cold water tank in a commercial situation. This was done on machines which didnt have the type ‘A’ air gap, to comply with the WRAS regulations.

The customer had bought a domestic machine to save money, so I used to install a Stuart RG25 pressure pump, which solved the low pressure problem.

Re: Hotpoint top loader 9605 pump question.

I purchased a Hotpoint top load pump p/n 151123 from connect last month. The pulley was black plastic, and when I fitted it I kept having the feeling that it was a pattern part, although it was in a genuine box with the p/n on it. Probably cost cutting by Hotpoint? So far I have had no call back.
