If I remember correctly the rear feet are self leveling. So all you have to do is make sure the front feet are level, then tip machine forward and let it drop on to the rear feet, and the machine should be level.

Note; when its tipped forward the rear feet should have free up and down movement.

Re: Vented t/dryers – optimum hose length?

If you connect 2 x 4″ vents together with a y piece, the vent diameter should be doubled, i,e 6″. So the cheapest option for your customer would be to change the venting to 6″ after the Y piece. Of course the best solution is to have 2 completely seperate vents.
    Hope this helps.

atech, The drain hole was clear. No timer, just the p c b at top of facia. Not sure about the heater. When I couldn’t find any thermistors listed on connections for this model, there was a part called ‘defrost thermal fuse’ (a red object with 4 wires). Thats what I shall check when customer returns after his hols. Thanks for the reply

I had exactly the same complaint on the same model. heater OK. NTC OK. Connections list 2 modules. One goes at the top behind the facia ( which is what I quoted for, but didn’t get the go ahead). The other one I wasn’t sure about.

I have had the holes in the inner tub all blocked with soap and scale. I just poked a small screwdriver through every one. It took ages, but cured the fault

    Re: Kitchenfitters tricks!

I went to a built in W/M some time ago, when I tried to pull it out I could feel the resistance of the hoses stopping it coming right out. ‘I’ll do it ‘ says the customer, and he gives the machine a good yank, and the cold hose snaped off. It took him 15 mins to find, and turn off, the main stop cock, while the water was gushing out.
After I got the machine all the way out I found the hot and cold taps behind the back of one of the cupboards.

Still, looking on the bright side, I can use this little gadget I’ve bought to see when the heater comes on during my day to day tests on washing machines and dishwashers.

I usually use a clamp on ameter, but this gaget looks easer to use. What are all the buttons for?
