    Thanks Bob
I did meter the wires from the thermistor (NTC) end, and the resistance was very low, so I assumed the wires were ok. The resistance across the NTC was about 4K.

My question is this – is there any way that we can measure a belt to check for certain whether it is in spec with what is printed on it?

Years ago I used to measure belts with something like this http://www.texrope.com/en/products/tools/743.aspx

But with stretchy belts, I just fit a new one

    Its a WML540PUK R

I tried the commercial code on connections, which lists a dispenser body, and a hopper cover (top bit) so thats what I think I’ll order

    Many thanks for your efforts

    Re: customer wants part numbers

If you use Connect quote their barcode number and say thats the only number you use. It then is meaningless to the customer. Or make up your own stock number. This is what I have done in the past, and usually sattisfies the customer.

Re: Neff U1721N2GB/01 Oven Blows Trip

Went back today and fitted a new fan motor, unfortunatly after 15 mins it took out the trip. (RCD) I reset it and the oven worked for another 10 mins before it tripped again. It meggers OK. I want to solve this puzzle before the customer gives up on a repair. Any thoughts please.

I am still tempted to change the ceramic resistor in the top. Thanks

Cant remember. I spent so long with my megger, it probably needs new batteries. I did notice the usual scorchy brown marks near the fan motor and cut out next to it, but as I said its very intermitant

Dont bother. The number they use is for their marketing purposes, so they can tell how many people has seen the web site. It bounces to your normal number anyway.
