Hi Smudger
A couple of things could be at fault. The heater, The exhaust stat or the stats on the heater.
If the stats on the heater are o/c you will have to replace the heater as these stats are calibrated to the heater.
The exhaust stat is inside the machine situated under the drum. If this is o/c then its at fault.
If you have no expertise in appliance repair then get a pro out
Many regards

I would stay clear of LG. They are rust buckets. If the machine workings last, the cabinet will rot. I service these machines and shudder when i get one. Parts are another issue. They can take weeks to get hold of. You have been warned if you should choose the LG.

E6 is Heating Element or Thermistor. I would check these first or have an engineer check this first
Kind regards

Error codes beginning with 3 are a pressure switch fault. This does not mean it is the pressure switch though. How does the mahine empty? Is it slow. Check filter. Could be a blockage in the pressure system. (This will drain the tub to empty at switch on)

I have come across some models of the hotpoint version that do indeed have a in line fuse coming from the timer into a fuse case. Unplug from mains if you are going to have a look in the top but the fuse case (if it has one) will be to the left hand side of the timer in with the wiring loom. It is hard to spot if you do not know what you are looking for. It should be black. Hope this helps

Hi Neale
The trick i use is to put the door seal on and i gather that the spring is the problem. Well get a long flat blade screwdriver at the ready then put the spring on from the top and get it around the sides, now the knack is to put the flat blade to pull the spring down over the bottom of the seal. Hey presto the jobs a good un.Sparkyp

Endeva are now training up their Brown Goods guys to multi-skill level and making the White Goods engineers redundant. A Tv engineer repairing a washing machine? I had been with Endeva for 15 years although the company has had a couple of name changes. I got out when i heard and am now working for someone else. Fancy this? Train up a Tv engineer and let him go out on your days run with you and in a month or so your out of a job. I don’t fancy that!

ParticipantRe: emptying excess water from dead washing machine
Hi
Take the waste pipe of the washing machine and lay it into a washing up bowl. The gravity will empty it into the bowl and one empty machine so when they pick it up there will be no water on your floor.Sparkyp

Hi guys
Just an update. Got the mains input filter board and put it on today and guess what. It still does the same. Ejects the door. I also found out today that the drain pump has been changed. Could this possibly have any bearing on it as the LG’s work on Khz readings. I am thinking that it might reject if the readings aren’t right. Wots your thoughts?Sparkyp

Hi guys,
I seem to have no takers for this one. Could anyone please advise of the timer part number. It ia a AWM1000/1:
12nc: 857020215300.
I made a note of the timer that was inside and looked at another machine and it had a different timer number on it. I wonder whether the wrong timer is coming through spares.Sparkyp

It’s funny you should say that Dave as that did cross my mind as i replaced the module on another 412 and it worked fine. The pump reads ok. I will get another module and try it again. I just wish i carried more than one module
