Allister will know which bolts and spacers are required, just ask him for them when you order the weights. I dont think there are any listed part numbers for them!

    just email him on..

    Hi Del

Outer tub rear job first of all! Probably be alright once done!
The other problem is probabaly as a result of the unbalance drum.
As top weight more than likely was loose to begin with, which has damaged outer tub.

This along with heavy use has made the problem worse.

If it is been used more than normal domestic use, this may well affect the guarantee?

    Better check with Amica?

Re: September 2011 UKW engineers meeting & WTA AGM

According to the names on here there will be only 19 coming.
Thats including the 6 of us on the council.

So come on guys we need names of those who are attending, and out of those can you please indicate if you are a WTA member.
If you are unable to come please let us know by representation via any of the team.

This is not only a Engineers meeting it is suposed to be the WTA AGM as well so we need to organise the day.
With that we still need volunteers who wish to join the team so can I please have names of those interested in being put forth for election.

Please email your details to steven.wgbs@hotmail.co.uk as soon as possible.

    Re: Agents Feedback

Another thing, why dont Amica do prevenative call on all these machines before they become noisy?

They probably know which ones are the problem models, if they say go through the ones that have been registered do a quality control check on them for this say charge £40 a call to just check and tighten up the bolts.

Then this will reduce the cost of spares and the amount of parts used on a job.

    Where shall I Start 😆 ❓

TBH just stupid things like, why did poland use the chinese factory in the first place :rolls:

Some of these you probably all ready know.
The spares are now getting there thanks to Allister, bearings and seals and drums were a headache in the beginning.

Lock tighted pulley I seen some of these with either none or so much you have to smack the $h1t out of it so you need then a pulley.

    Concrete weight / bolt issues

Any special tools or bits required with sizes would help.

Some of the web site drawings have misleading information and sometimes the parts list does not match up with the numbers on the drawings.

We recently repaired AWM712D it had several clips around with some bolts, these clips were very tight and took a while to get back on, anyone have an easy way or is there a tool for this?

I have a think for more and get back to you. 😉

In regards to the post I put on the forum, either everyone is happy the way things are and the way the TA is run 😆

Or they just cant be arsed to reply. :rolls:

Maybe we need to carry out an update of all there details we have on file where we can send email and or a letter of some kind requesting feedback, too late now but for next time before we have our meeting?

Re: Who does u/g Daewoo repairs?

    Update!

If you buy via swift electrical, you can ask and apply for an service /spares account direct with Daewoo.

You will be sent an application form and example warranty claim form.

On it gives the guide lines on how to book call, order spares, serial no logging, etc..

The standard fixed labour is £45.00+
    No fault customer misuse £35.00
Recall for same fault 28 days £0
No penalties for return of unused parts.

I think the labour may be a bit on the low side :rolls:
better than some but not as good as the other 😆
I have emailed them about upping it slightly, I will await and see what they say ❗
I assume the parts are invoiced and then contra back?

I have just got a Daewoo in to see what they are like and TBH they are not bad for price and spec 😮 .
I was expecting cheap, but they are as good as the rest we do, I have to say 😆 !
what the level of componet and reliablity only time will tell.
But access in via top, back and front very little on it so very easy to work on as far as I can see.
The basic model 1200 rpm and 7kg capacity @£159 I think easily you can sell this for around £299 😉

The TA Forums. We should join. I mentioned it a few months back but nothing has been pursed. We can then be listed on there as a TA, and attend there conferences etc if we feel that we would benefit by meeting other TAs throughout the UK. Also from what I gather, government people also attend the TA Forum conferences, so it might be worth a thought? At the end of the day, it’s a Logo that we can add to the WTA Website and it’s another new story to go on the homepage “WTA Become TA Forum members” 😉

I for one would hope, that if we agree the WTA is pursuable, then any changes we decide Friday, are actually done on Friday or very soon afterwards by the nominated person. As things sometimes get forgotten about when we leave Kilmarnock IMO, and we are talking about the same thing the next time we meet!

For what it’s worth, my gut feeling is the WTA could be huge. We could achieve so much if we all stay motivated, have the right members on the council, keep in touch, keep focused and ‘Allocate’ a set few hours every week to commit to WTA work.

Other than that, I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday!

    Ade 🙂

I agree it would not hurt to see how the others do it and then do it better!
The need for new fresh ideas and people to be on board is a priority and those with skill sets that are vital for the benefit of the TA and members.

I know there were some names mentioned i think George (allsorts) and Dave jones!

George has probably got a lot to give he has hand in on the environment side etc?
Time is prescious and we all have families and businesses to run so getting the right people with the skills is going to be a challenge in its self.

So with this is it a good idea to invite the members to volunteer at this point see what the interests are?
If so we can then vote on it as well?

We are different to the other TA’s yes we are small with big ideas. I know we are trying to run sometimes before we can walk, so as Ade said need to take a step back and review the concept from sibson.
We represent mainly small independants working from home, the likes of retra and dasa who are for businesses with more than one outlet and large numbers of staff etc and they have finacial contributions from associate membership there in bed with manufactures. All this we probably wish to avoid.

Yet we still need to offer something different something niche that appeals to all.

    PS

I have had a couple of emails to date.

One about tecnical stuff and the other about customer care comment in the cop.!
If you want me to forward emails to all let me know?

Come on guys, help us out, there has got to be something you want from your TA 😆

Talk to us we wont bite ❗

If you have got things on your mind, but you think it maybe too trivial or think someone else will probabaly ask it, dont sit in silence.
If there are more of the same questions or issues we know what to prioritise.
Also if you got any ideas on how we can improve your TA we would like to here them. 💡

    The more information the better.

Dont wait for someone else to reply send me an email.
If you want to be annonomous then just say. I will only pass on the relevant info:wink:

We have less than a week so get writing.
