    Re: sept 2010 meeting

I had a call from Bryan Lovewell (CE) via Gordon Jones from Retra (who we are a member of)he wanted some info on the WTA so I passed your number Lawrence hope thats ok ❓

He did say they looked at web site but could not find a contact name to speak too?

I did say that they would be welcome to come to the meeting if interested, although will leave it up you Lawrence if you get a call.

Gordon did not say why Bryan was interested in the WTA.

This is totally out of order, what gives RC the right to basically fine you for something you haven t done 👿
What happen to being presumed innocent until proved guilty or does this not apply.

We have all made mistakes, misdiagnosed or not been able to complete a repair for one reason or another but to compensate a customer because of this is wrong.

If this can happy to Adrian because he spoken out, said something that upset someone then I guess it wont be long before the rest of us are shot down one at a time, who’s going to be next. ❓

It must be a adminastrative error RC wouldn’t treat their most loyal repairers like this 😯
I suggest that RC do the honorable thing and apologise for their mistake and credit Adrian back without delay.

Unfortunatly ACT who I asked to do the calibration are now booked up for that day 🙁

We will have to arrange it for another meeting and get it booked sooner.

I did say if they had anyone free to come to the meeting any way.

    SORRY 😳 😳

    E3
    A) If the heating element has remained ON past its preset time. The
dishwasher will continue on to the next programme. At the end of the
cycle the alarm will sound for 30 seconds and the display will read “E3”.
    B) When the control unit detects the element is heating in a non heating
cycle, or the element is open circuit (O/C), the alarm will sound for 30
seconds and the display will read “E3”. The machine will pause for 3
minutes and then drain for 90 seconds.

After checking and ruling out obvious; all the ones I have done to date have been PCB faults 😉

Many cases it could be down to load problem.

Not found any reason why pcbs fail, except in many cases they have been permantly left plugged in. :rolls:

    Lawrence

I am on Hols this week so apologise for not keeping up to date 😳

I was waiting for your reply email and authorisation on this so not sure if you had replied back to my email as unable to check work one.

As it was a while when I asked you about this and you have been dealing with so much other stuff it was not at the fore front I thought you forgot about it?

I thought as we have already got a lot already going on you were going to leave it this time?

No problem I will call him next week and get it arranged?

    Re: Rate reduction issues

I was handed Phils number recently and was meaning to give him call for some extra work.
I also had a name for some other work inspections and repairs for some power company who are prepared to pay a good rate (not sure how much work and how often)? 😀

I am off on Hols this week so it will have to wait till next week.

It maybe worth dealing with this in an official capacity showing we have a network of agents around the country prepared to do the work for them.

They are only down the road from me in Avonmouth, also many builders or retailers who sell the products dont repair so a good repair opportunity that cant be missed.

We could always meet up Ade and visit and see what they have to offer. 😉

Good work on both your parts john and steve for doing the leg work.

Cant wait to see your demo machine 😆

Is this something we should report back to Amica on for them to look into?

I must confess I have sold a fair few AW23 and loads of Amicas and touch wood not had an issue. (should not have said that)!!

That is why i said need to check the production code to see if there is a pattern emerging?

Because of all the hype relating to the reduction and Ade wanting his pound of flesh I thought we were going to bring some rope and hang DP from the ceiling 😆 😆

I should have guessed you were going to deal with it more diplomatically. 😉

I wondered about facilitating a meeting for all interested parties -repairer wise ,so that views could be aired experiences swapped etc .
but I also thought it may be seen as agitating however the TA is there for its members…

Will we be wasting our time on this. ❓ ❗

Sure lets mention that all members of ukw are very pist off and not happy, to say the least 👿 👿
Still they are not going to u turn their decision what ever we do or say 👿
If we have an open debate it will get into a slanging match.
You will see DP with his pen making notes of the trouble makers 😆

We dont want to be seen to be a bunch of whinging gitts. 😳
We are better than that we are proffesionals all we want is a fair rate for the job we do.

We can discuss this subject and moan till the cows come home, until everyone sings from the same hymn sheet or get the support from WTA or other trade organisation to fight our corner legitimatly.
We need stand together on this even though its not going to make any differnce.
There is a few of us that will stick together but we will always get walked over from Work providers they dont give a sh8t.

Trouble is there will always be someone waiting in the winds to take the work at any cost.

I think this is just the start, if they can drop the rate on this whats stopping them doing it across the board.
They have lined up enough agents across the country to make sure they have coverage, who are probably not UKW or Dasa members.
They have got aleast two more companies in my area alone so if i refuse the jobs they will just pass it on to someone else. Which has already happened this week because of shortage of staff.

What i have done is if I get no jobs from them, cut down on the spares ordered from them and use someone else.
mention openly the good offers from Qualtex and Masterpart 😆
I know we are small fry and my couple grand a month not much in the grand scheme of things, but if we all do it, kick them where we know its gona hurt 😉

    Re: AW23 soap hose

You only have to remove lid at this point :rolls:

from here you can see if all is ok and drum square hose too close to tub.

and if they ask you can always bull s**t and say your checking for transit packaging, they wont have a clue.

It will save an even more embarrassment when you have to go back in a few months to replace a split hose / rusty suspension and clear up a leak, doesnt look good for you or appliance reputation 😳

    its only a thought 😉
