Re: Patten or Genuine Spare Parts ????

    Hi all
    I work on my own.
Most of my van stock is patten spares due to cost
I can’t have any accounts with any manufactures, although I do have all the cd’s as they speed up my calls and ensure correct part is supplied to me.
All I can say about hpt spares at the moment is ” armature inc carbons ” was £15 now you cant get them so £60+vat for a motor kit. Now the job is lost due to the cost. (Was a very easy / cheap / effective job )
So here we go again more pattern spares.
I liked the hpt tecnical line used a lot while with E.E.B and since private, but now is no more. I know nothing about any common faults / cures so I scrap um and get the customers differant brands. sorry 🙁
distripart cd is spot on all those lovely manuals just ready to print out and cheaper than the hpt one ( free updates for a year )

    Re: WMA blows board

    hi all
Had a wma33p today with a blown board
the drain pump plug had arced, and the door lock tryac had exploded right of the board.
Cons said had power cut during the final spin so put it down to that.
But I think i’d better check the harness pump/motor ete before I fit the new £60 board.

    Ta for warning me 🙂

    Re: old belling door hinges

    Hi dave
    Its the drop down door
I can get the guides but it makes no differance when these are changed.
All the pins are in place on hinges but the door still drops to far and wont hold closed.

    Re: Local Trading Standards Authority

    hi all
Had my visit from trading standards today
A lovely 19yr old with long black hair and not a lot of clothes. 😯
Being a typical 41yr old male I lost control of all my senses. 😳
A touch of ” ERR YES ERR OK please dont bend over any more I cant stand it” Am I man or mouse ? at this time I think a mouse.
All went well though I was the first out of 13 sparkes / repair guys to be doing it all right.
I may be the only one on the beds list (for a while anyway)
just the wait for the checks now.
Hope she calls again still dreaming about it 😆 but dont tell the wife 😉 😉

    Re: BLOOD!!!!

    Hi all
only slightly connected i know but here we go
last saterday i put a 2 inch gash in my finger while fixing a puncher on my 5yr old sons bike.
Followed swiftly with him passing out, my dog taking a liking to fresh blood on the end of my finger & the wife saying “mind the carpet.”
No worry about my son or my now rancid diggit, just mind the carpet.
The morral of this story, look out for nails in tyres & dont expect sypathy from a woman.
To top it all of my son said ” Im not riding that till buy me a new tyre, That one’s infected with your germs now “.
    There’s gratitude for ya

At least it was me left hand though.

    Re: Dishwasher installation fault?

    Hi all
Do any of you you see any probs with loose plug top fuse holder clips ❓
We had a whole batch of electra’s in the early 90’s where we had to go out and replace the plug tops on hundreds of them due to loose grip on the fuse in the plug top. (well they were merloni’s)
But I agree, I have seen loads of these. If you loosen the socket the live wire falls out ( switch of mains first, need I say it, but you never know who’s reading this do you? )
Also what make were the socket outlets there is some real cr*p out there.
