    Re: Qualifications

    Hi all

    Understood Cris.
The only reason I am doing the 2381 is because it does to cover your back a bit if problems arise.
    for insurance purposes ete.
Of course at £100 it does seem a easy feather in my cap.
and if I want to get part p in the future. ie if appliances keep getting cheaper and the repairs fade away like tv & vid stuff has.

    Re: Qualifications

    Hi all
I am at present at collage doing my c&g 2381 course and exam.
This I need because I wish to do a few wiring jobs after jan 1st, so I would like to be part p registerd.
You could do fitting changes in most rooms but it looks like kitchin work is going to have to be certified like corgi.
Yes even just changing a socket face.
I am lead to beleve that anyone one in any electricy trade should have c&g 2381 under their belt.
I would recomend you go to your local collage as mine does the course and exam for £100.00 as apose to iee charge £ 616.00 + £100 for the exam.
This is for electrical instalations but we should be aware of electrical safety when reparing appliances.
    Boring I know 😥

    Hi all
How do you get this unit out.
Tryed undoing the screws, inside disc, inlet valve pipe, but still it didn’t move.
Got a bit wet though when I forgot to put the disc inside back on 😳

    Hi all
As I am now trading standards approved
I have to leave ALL parts I have changed behind (even the screws ?)
This is part of the agrement with them, to prove that all the parts were changed.
I have found that my customers dont mind if I tell then that, and it is a good way of advitizing I am now approved.

    Re: Siemens SE25T250 Dishwasher dead

    hi steve
All you can do is check water in (ie tap still on) and that the waite pipe attachment if it pushes on to a pipe under the sink, is cut off,.
When new the waiste connector has a blank end on it this must be cut of before use other wise the d/w cant pump out and may over fill.
I would not try anything else if its that new, because you will void the warantee just by removing the side ect.
Swap the w/m and the d/w plugs over and try the w/m as sometimes on a dual sockets one side works and the other does not. 😉
    hope this helps you

Re: Zanussi FJ 1296 washing machine

    Hi pOxy
Watch the fill. If she starts to fill to far up the door you must get the w/m serviced as it may flood your floor.
If fill is normal and no wash or spin, but pumps out ok then it could be carbons.
If she washes and does not spin she needs a service.
(Tricky on these so call an engineer in.)
I asume you mean she fills and just sits idle ❓

Re: Patten or Genuine Spare Parts ????

    Hi all
Why is it when you call hpt spares line, one min you get someone nice who will order the part number you want and the next min you get a right stroppy (black and white large animal found in fields) who only wants the model no* and refuses to tell you what part number you actualy ordering. 😡
    What a jekel and hyde company. ❓ ❓ ❓
When I pay £31 for a part i could get for £13 (if it was stocked that is) I like to know it is the correct part.
She even asked if i wanted the ref or the frz stat on a one stat f/f, doesn’t inspire confidance does it ❓
Why cant anyone with the rather expensive Partfinder 2 order direct or at least get trade prices even if pay by visa every order ❓ ❓ ❓
