Neither am I, I used to work for them up to about a month ago…I was just advising the cheapest option for changing a module…IMHO opinion reparing a PCB is not something that should be carried out in a kitchen.

    Hi

You have a free 5 year parts warranty on this machine so all you have to pay for is the engineers call out fee. This might be the cheaper option given the price of a module.

    Re: door seal

As Smartin stated you need a new inner door panel, the lower door seal is not available as a spare part.

When hotpoint repair an appliance they give the whole machine a 14 days warranty, however the repair that hey cary out comes with a full 12 months warranty.

    Hi

On Indesit machines the motor provides the neutral to the rest of the components. What normaly happens when the motormotor harness fails is that the door will lock but you get no indication and nothing else works.

Re: Hotpoint Rl34G makes terrible noise

    Hi

Some refrigeration products do make a gurgling noise for a while but these do normaly settle down. I doubt very much if a dent in the side would cause this problem as the compressor is located at the bottom on the rear of the appliance.

If it is only less than a week old you do have a returns agreement with curry’s you can reject anything within the first28 days. I wouldn’t bother contacting hotpoint I would go back to the retailer.

    Hi

Think you will find that the error code means that the machine has gone into a filter clean cycle. There are numerous causes of this, such as the pump being blocked, wash motor not functionaling correctly, spray arms blocked, heater down to earth.

Not an easy one to track down I am afraid.

If you make enough noise you will probably get the call out charge reduced if you are only 2 weeks out of warranty.

    except no there hasnt

pump filters are there for exactly that , to filter things from the pump

the modification is to the heater box itself, not the filter.. in fact on earlier models, it was encouraged to remove the fluff filter and the flushing valve.. i have the bulletin right in front of me

its all down to the type of washing im afraid

yes, i see some pump filters blocked, but thats no fault of the machine, its more down to the types of things you wash… most of the people i see wash dog blankets on a regular basis

i have found, however , that if the next time it happens, the engineer removes the eco ball, and top of the cage, it will perform better, and block up less

this is why hotpoint and comet (who i work for btw) cant comment on your ‘fault’ becuase, basically, there isnt one

hope this is of some help

Last year a new fluff filter was introduced to combat the problem of fluff build up in the heater box. As a comet engineer you do not have access to all the relevant information. As an Indesit engineer I do.

id tend to agree with jim, get someone in, its safer

please do yourself a big big favour

The float switch also brings on the empty water light and can lock al the controls up.
