sorry for taking so long to reply but I have been really busy this week.
If you can sort this out for me it would be great. If not the part numbers would be good & where is te best place to order them from.
Unfortunately this wont be a money job for me as its for my sister

    Hi John
This may seem silly, but have you checked the carbons ?
This is a common fault on the Ariston/ Indesit/ Hotpoint machines.
I have also had it on a Whirlpool, but cant remember if I have had any Electrolux Group machines suffer with this

Re: Looking to buy a a Pocket PC or Smartphone?

I use an Orange SPV M3100 with a BT headset, the slide out keyboard is very usable.
Apart from the usual diary etc I have a database of all my parts usage and price etc, and keep all my calls on via a customer database. (the database stuff can be saved on to a micro SD card although so far I have not needed to)
I really run most of my business on the road from this, although the important stuff stays on the laptop mostly at home.

    Re: Laptops.

    Hi Chris
I have been thinking about this recently for myself.
I currently use a smartphone (Windows Mobile) which I use as a diary etc, I have loaded on it a database which has a parts database and I log all my customer details on it (although I have been having trouble recently with that particular programe).
On my laptop at home I have Qualtex Spareslink on it and I have a far bigger customer database, I would probably use my laptop if I could figger out how to use the information on it to print my calls etc from the existing database or create a new one. Maybe there is some software out there that would do the job for me, but anything I have seen is just way beyond my price range.
    Regards

Re: FUEL PRICES AROUND THE UK.

I have just increased my prices by £3.00 last week due to the fact that my costs have increased by £2.00 per call (Inc Fuel) since I last did a review in April 07

    Re: Spareslink updates

Just out of interest I did a quick comparison, as I use both. (Although mainly Qualtex as Spareslink just suits me better)

    Connect prices in brackets

    3570114102 fan motor oven £18.40 (£18.88)
    1603409 wma drum rear half £30.90 (£31.25)
    481236158334 motor spray pump £60.12 (£57.44)
    264877 bosch d/w control board £67.65 (£56.49)
    1611166 hotpoint spider unit £11.75 (unt10 £9.27) (£9.99 Gen)
    dan01 fridge thermostat £4.80 ( 2+ £4.75)
    c00035521 indesco carbons&holders £4.30 (£4.20 Each)

    Hope this helps
