ParticipantSounds like it only got part way through the program. What happens if you try running it again?
tubafan
ParticipantIt’ll either be the element or more likely the switch for it that has failed.
I believe the switch will be this one – https://parts.indesit.co.uk/cooker-energy-regulator-j00618693/p?fromBOM=truetubafan
ParticipantGood news – thanks for letting us know. 🙂

Yes it does.

ParticipantIf it’s the same as the board that kwatt mentioned in post #9 then it’s 3300uF 25V 105C.
If that’s correct then this should do the job – https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284555204050
Note the polarity when replacing as these are polarity sensitive.tubafan
ParticipantWhat type of buzzing are you getting as if it’s one of the relays chattering I’d be taking a close look at capacitor C1 to see if it has failed. Is the top of C1 still completely flat or is there and signs of leakage from its base?

ParticipantFair point about the voltage measurement – could well be a LED. A photo would still assist I think.

ParticipantA photo of the indicator would assist (need to host on another site). Is it totally dead or just very dim? If very dim it could well be a neon which will likely have a series resistor packaged with it.

ParticipantI have an over 20 year old Bosch dishwasher and have always had to mop the bottoms of mugs with a tea towel before removing them. The water pools there so you’d need a lot of heat and evaporation to get rid of it all. I’ve certainly never considered it a fault, just a shortcoming of the way the washing process works.

ParticipantWhat does your insurance policy say? If it says they will supply an equivalent model and what they are offering is the same make with the same sort of features then that sounds right. If it says they’ll supply a model in the same sort of price range as your existing one cost then it may not be correct.
I suspect it says something along the lines of my first option.tubafan
ParticipantIf it’s still working ok I’d leave it a day or so to see if it sorts itself out.

ParticipantI’d start by checking the board that the start button is on. It may just be a broken solder joint on the switch or if it’s the carbon pad variety it might just need a clean.

ParticipantThat link doesn’t seem to work – try this one https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/20605190-ise2-washing-machine-inner-drum
tubafan
ParticipantSounds like the drum spider has broken. I would guess you’d need an inner drum assembly – https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/20605190 – but I’d wait for someone like electrofix to confirm.

I got the fusible resistor from RS Components who didn’t charge me £6.95 for delivery in the end,…
How did you get the postage reduced as I need a couple of parts from RS and object to paying £6.95 for a package that’ll likely cost them about £1.50?
