ParticipantI’m guessing the body of that resistor is about 20mm long, in which case it’s likely a 3 watt one. It does need to be fusible type for safety.

ParticipantYou should be able to access the pump rotor through the sump – there’s probably a detachable cover it. You’ll likely find more glass in there that is jamming the pump.

ParticipantI’m wondering if there is a partial blockage in the pipework that is causing cavitation in the pump, as that would only happen with hot water.

ParticipantIf the house is owned by the Council so they get to decide how things are done. If they allowed people to change things by paying for ‘upgrades’ etc then what would happen if those upgrades needed maintenance? For example, the mixer tap that you paid for, but they installed, breaks – who should pay the labour for that to be fixed as it’s not the Council’s fault that the tap you have supplied has failed so why should they pay to mend it? But if you pay for someone to come in and fix it and they botch the repair and flood the house then who pays to fix that mess?
It all gets too complicated which is why they won’t allow it.tubafan
ParticipantI’d have thought the failure of those resistors is more likely to be a consequence of another component failure. Unless you can find that they are likely to burn out again.

ParticipantIf it’s intermittent I’d try reseating the connectors to the main board to see if that helps.

ParticipantAgree with electrofix – just change the plug. The pins on the old one look ok so I think it’s just the fuseholder that has burnt out. If the socket has no evidence of heat damage then it’s likely fine.

£185 – you’re not kidding it’s a silly price! How on earth is that justified? Not sure if this one will fit – https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354112027799 – but it looks very similar and is only £25.

ParticipantI don’t know about accessing the main fan but the cooling fan will certainly be a separate one that cuts-in to keep the control panel cool as the oven warms up. As long as the cooling fan is working, and you can usually hear them and feel air being blown from the front of the oven, I’d have no issue with using the non-fan settings until the fan can be fixed.

ParticipantThe front panel for a DV62 I’ve found suggests it doesn’t have any lights other than a power indicator – https://www.indesitspares.co.uk/dishwasher/dv-62-wh-f024392/control-panel-fascia-white/product.pl?pid=954467&path=601897&refine=facia&model_ref=11465378

ParticipantI’d use a spudger to go around it and release each clip in turn. Doesn’t look like it should be too difficult.

ParticipantLikely the motor bearings but I assume you have checked to see than the fan can turn easily and isn’t obstructed in any way?

ParticipantThe plate (part no 0570 on the diagram) is shown with the drying system parts and perhaps goes under the Zeolite container? I’ve no idea about the plastic part though.

ParticipantBeko’s website refers to the bottom fridge drawer as a chiller compartment.
“Offering a hygienic and perfectly suited environment for your meat, fish and dairy products, the chiller compartment maintains a low temperature at around 0ºC, helping them to stay fresh for longer“ -
