kaibart wrote:Yes the way I get the 3 grey wires out is snap the plastic with a flat blade screwdriver as dave has said the motor connection is purple and black on the hige end dishwashers the harness is probably in stock direct and cheaper have a look

I also do use the small screwdriver to get it out. I had a look at another Bosch dishwasher for different purposes, I had wrongly assumed that the sensor lead would go from the pump to the board but it appears to be joined alongside a longer multiplug. I have not had the chance to trace the side wiring from the board to elsewhere and to see how simple to replace the actual sensor harness from pump to board and to third yet identified source. Does anyone happens to have wiring diagrams?

    Thanks Dave,
the plug is damaged and the wires were pulled out. It’s beyond saving hence needing a new line with complete end to end plug, otherwise I would have fixed it. It seems that the sensor wires are now purple instead of grey?

    Thanks Dave,
I had a quick scan through and not quite been able to determine the source of the loud vibration. I did notice an inline pump which looks like vibrating pump for steam that I usually see in coffee machines but I discounted it as it is too small to make that kind of racket and the steam function was not activated.

Can someone recommend refrigerant leak detector spray or device?

Can weak capacitor be the cause?

I am not able to have a second visit since the owner disposed of the dryer.

I have left it in this mode for approx 5 mins to try get some sense. It is draining fine, filling fine until the wash pump comes on which starts ok then slows then speed up and so on. I thought there could be a blockage somewhere which I discounted very quickly and I have ran through lots of options and none of it seems to fit in with the symptoms. All of the programs doing the same thing.

The dishwasher is 6 years old

How do I test the relays while in situ? Concerned that it would give false readings.

What did people find and how did they cure it? Dave made it sounds like that it is difficult to determine the problem.

I like your thinking on the light bulb, very clever. I will certainly do this and this will help me to confirm which way to go. Thank you

I have the same issue here, what did you do to resolve it?

    was it the control module?

    Thanks Dave,

I did wonder if it is the board by looking at the parts diagrams and the pictures of the board. Will try the grill setting and see if it is activating the microwave.

Feels solid and no mould or gelling up, looks like it was made from recycled plastic as it is a different colour than I am used to. More blue/greyish like airfix grey than white-ish. Owner used the drum to load detergent and the drawer for softener but nothing out of the sorts. Thought it was the helix thing in the dispenser hose that could impeded the flow of the water but it doesn’t make any difference.

Turns out the pump is fine, just pinprick hole in the tank by the salt cap which I will seal it up with a tank putty.

Might be too far back to remember but I have just come across with the same fault for same dishwasher, the original fault was problem with filling and not starting up/ drain and fill loop.

replaced pressure switch sensor – this one does not have a hose as it is attached to the sump, calibrated the water level by using few drops of rinse aid and water up to the sensor inlet to let it stand in the sump for 10 mins. Dishwasher worked fine.

Now it is overfilling? If this what you are saying as above about the board being burnt out, what would be the cause of it or just bad design?
