    Re: Hotpoint WD62N

The customer didn’t think the cold valve had been changed in the past and both valves have the restrictors fitted on the inlet side.

I will try replacing the cold valve using a genuine part anyway.

    Thanks for the advice,

    Keith.

“What they get: GUARANTEED service call within 2 days. Those that don’t opt for this Monthly scheme will get the present service level criteria”

If repairers are struggling to meet the 2 day criteria with financial penalties, then those that don’t opt for the monthly scheme are ‘not’ going to receive the present service level criteria!

    Thanks Dave & Martin,

The description of the double ended connector fits so I will go with that.

Date code is 07 but niether Wash Vac or Hotpoint could identify from that!

    Thanks again,

    Keith.

    Re: Bosch WFF2001GB Code

This machine is installed in an out-house seperate from the main house and is known to have very low pressure. The customer has arranged for the water board to carry out tests. I have suggested they resolve the water pressure problem first and see if this rectifies the fault.

Pump was noisy so already replaced, seems to drain fairly quickly but will still check chamber with air break in case. Already meggered the element and cleared the pressure chamber.

Will a sticky On/Off switch cause this fault or is this just another problem worth keeping an eye on.

The only other thing worth noting the water pressure is very low hence the fill is very slow (almost poetic). Could timing out on fill cause this error code?

    Martin,

    Spot on, what a star.

You’ve just save me a lot of time. Even with the wiring diagram I wouldn’t have found that without a lot of agro if at all.

    Many thanks,

    Keith.

    Re: Zanussi WJS1265W Not drying

Thanks for the advice, I should be getting a copy of the wiring diagram later today.

Martin, your suggestion of the duff valve looks positive I think I’ll check that first.

Geoff If all else fails I might take up the offer of the PCB.

I’ll post how I get on,

    Keith.

    Thanks for the prompt response,

I did consider this but I thought it would have prevented filling when on the wash and prevent the machine from spining!

Re: Neff FL W4380X1 GB/01 washing machine.

    Thanks for the advice,

The switch is double pole, but I have checked both Live and Neutral at the PCB after the switch and both appear to be OK.

I did consider the door interlock but this is only a three wire variety and the fault is the same with the door open or closed so I thought it unlikley to be causing the problem.

Any other thoughts on this are welcome though……….

Re: Neff FL W4380X1 GB/01 washing machine.

The supply comes from the mains filter through the mains switch then straight to the PCB. As I am getting the 240v at the PCB I would assume the switch is probably OK.
