Re: Bosch WTE6920GB/01 T/D cuts out

    Thanks Martin,

Not sure about the suction, I know the suction fan and vent grill are clear as are the ducts through the machine so logic suggests it should be OK but will hcheck it anyway.

I have tested the folat switch but this doesn’t come into play as there isn’t any water getting through to that area.

Will Bosch Technical discuss this if your not one of their own engineers?

Re: Bosch WTE6920GB/01 T/D cuts out

Returned to this machine, no blockage in pipe but found a piece of fluff stuck in the inlet section of the pump.

Thought; that martin,………what a star :worthy:

Put the machine back confident it was sorted (don’t you just love them when they’re intergrated!

Test machine and………….still the same ❗

Should know by now to test the thing before putting it back but that’s what confidence does for you…

Ran the machine again and find it takes about 10 to 15 minutes and gets hot. If you try to start it straight away if will not run and flashes between the setting I was using and ‘very Dry’ & ‘Easy Care’. If I leave it for a short while it will restart but runs for a shorter timer. The longer i leave it the longer it will run for, which indicates it could be heat related!

I also noticed that there was an absence of any water in the sump so it looks as if the machine is not condensing. I have checked the ducts for blockages and checked the condenser unit.

    Any suggestions ❓

    Keith.

Thanks for the part number. I have told the customer not to open the door mid-cycle. If she does and it goes again I’ll give the Qualtex alternative a go.

    Re: Hotpoint TDC32P Condenser Dryer

I have covered the possibilities regarding airflow through the machine.

I some Washer/Dryers trip the dryer heat if the cycle is stopped before the cooling cycle has finished but wasn’t aware this was a problem on these machines. I had contemplated it as I had run out of other ideas and the customer did admit she had a young daughter who liked to open the door before it had finished.

It looks like your comments confirm my suspicions.

    Thanks for the help.

    Re: De Dietricht VW7631F14 Dishwasher

Since my original post I have obtained De Dietricht part numbers.
Unfortunatley they do not cross referance with bosch parts (that would be too easy).

    The numbers posted

31X6296 and the ceramic block 93X3055

    are these BSH numbers?

So is it possible to determine the correct direction of spin from the direction of rake of the brushes?

    Thanks for all the replies.

My thoughts where in line with Bob’s reply. I wasn’t 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure so call several colleges who all said no it wouldn’t affect the direction of rotation. Once I had explained my thoughts referring to the way the sub interval cams reverse the motor they then weren’t sure and sat on the fence.

The problems that may be encountered if the motor spins in reverse is interesting.

    Dave,

I know, the lack of a fault code has thrown me. I asked the customer to leave the machine on as long as possible in the hope that it brings up a code but after 3 to 4 hours she descided she didn’t want the expence of the electricity!

I am on Broadband so if you can send the infomation it would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Keith.

The thermistor though only has two standard terminals, can’t the plug be cut of and two spades crimped on ? It doesn’t matter which way round they go on a thermistor.

    Dave.

If only life was so simple 🙂

Although the thermistor only has 2 terminals there are 3 wires (all orange) and they go into a 3 way Rasta plug.

Once i have the wireing diagram I can work out what should be connected and use insulated spade terminals.

    Thanks for the help,

    Keith.

    Re: Servis Dishwasher M4608AL

As I couldn’t be sure if I sourced the device from a different supplier that would fit and I couldn’t get a seal to fit between the device and blower unit either. On top of this I was just about to go away to the sun for a week so I quoted for the complete unit to be on the safe side. I would rather this than fit a part and have further problems. Due to the price of the part the cusomer descided not to have the work done.

Thanks for all the advice anyway,

    Keith.

    Why…..

After washing your hands they give you a really mangy towel and say “Don’t worry it’s just the dogs towel”
