    Re: Bosch KGU3120GB Freezer Problem

    Hiya Greg,

Its not my fridge 8) Was just giving a fault reason that most frost free’s have when they float around -10!
Never worked on a bosch so don’t know anything about model numbers.
    😳

Same question could be directed to Brian though 😉

    Re: Zanussi Fridge/freezer door problem

You can buy the door seal and replace yourself or get an engineer to change it.(For your fridge/freezer the fridge door seal is available)
Dave should help with the part I imagine.

As for the door dropping sometimes caused by age, over time the cabinet starts to twist and pulls the door down with it, its very hard to reverse this process just make sure it is completly level. A few washers on the bottom hinge of the door will raise the door enough to turn off the light.

***Remember to switch off the fridge before you work on it!***

ok there obviously isnt a vacation button on yours, you will have to defrost it manually which means turning it off for 24hrs, it might be worth an engineer visit.

    Re: Samsung RCS1DCSV

Bit of a bugger that one 😕 You should be able to get one of them to sort it out.

Easiest way to defrost it is to press the vacation button and leave it on for 24hrs (it turns off the fridge but leaves freezer on)

The lever fix is quite difficult to explain and do, gve me a PM I live in Witney so may be able to have a look.

    Re: Samsung Fridge/Freezer alarm

The door dropped could lead to intermittant alarm noises. But then this is only an assumption. But for the sake of a few washers its worth a try. I personally have seen this a few times before.
I could be wrong I am male!

Sounds like the fan motor isn’t going round and/or over iced in freezer. Defrost it should cure the problem if it comes back engineer time i’m afraid. Too many possible variables

    Re: Samsung Fridge/Freezer alarm

To me this sounds like the fridge door has dropped causing the light to stay on when the door is closed, the fan wont turn on thus cooling problems in the freezer or run all the time, and the beeping from the door seemingly being “open” when in fact its shut. pop a couple of washers under the middle hinge then put door back on hinge this will raise the door. Stop the alarm and cure the freezer problem.

15 minute job if that is what the problem is so not £100 fix.

There would be no harm in trying to be honest if you can prove your bought it on your statement that is usually good enough, also if you bought it from a large retailer they should be able to find the transaction.
But more importantly is the serial number that states the exact date the machine was produced if you want to PM me it I can tell you when it was built.
Give samsung a ring if it was bought in the last 2 years, they might surprise you!

If its just the lever that can be replaced, or if its the pivot hook that too can be replaced, although I personally use a different more secure method.

The freezer being set on -21 will show no adverse problems in fact that is quite a normal temperature for the freezer, the problem you have lies in the fridge. (The water comes in from the main into the fridge goes through the intestine looking thing, pull out the salad crispers, then back down out the front of the appliance then up through the bottom hinge of the freezer door to the tap.

    Basically

Fridge has over-iced>>water in intestine frozen>>no water>>broken tap.

Re: Samsung side by side fridge freezer

    you say its an sr-s20xx

the 2 x’s will help! But i imagine it has ice and water.
    1)unplug
    2)take off back panel
3)Remove screw holding power cable in place
4)remove screw holding water distribution valve
5)Move water valve to the left slightly
6)gently pull creamy coloured pcb case out, you eill notice wiring loom too move that to left slightly unit comes out
7)On 1 side you “may” have a screw holding case together-remove
    8)Prise case apart
    9)Remove and fit new PCB
10)Do everything in reverse to refit (notice 2 spikes on pcb case they locate back properly

But yes would have been best to get engineer out to check, seems very strange that one, might not be PCB

Re: Removing Cover on Samsung SR-S22…

Most of them do have a combined drain heater for the drain hole.
Where the ice builds up around the fan motor it can be cured once and for all but it is engineer only.

    Re: Samsung RCS1DCSV

    I live in OX28.

RS21DCSV is a white side by side without food centre but with water and ice,
Firstly on to the no water problem, this is caused by excess frost building up behind the panel at the bottom, before long you will start to here the fan catching on the ice eventually stopping the fan then losing even temperature through out the fridge. It has gone faulty!
Basically its not defrosting for long enough, either the heater is not working at all, or the heaters are turning off too soon. You will probably need an engineer.
Remember that this appliance is covered by a 2 year guarentee, being RS21 it isnt could be just over 2 years though but i would imagine its covered i.e phone samsung.

Secondly the snapped lever, it doesn’t require a whole new door it can be repaired, it is a scary repair but i can assure after doing a few it works much better than the original-unfortunatly I would advise an engineer its quite complex. Again if its covered under guarentee, you might get a nice engineer that will fix it anyway despite sort of being accicdental damage.

Otherwise like has been said new door!
    Hope this helps
