Penguin45.
Oh God yes! :rolls: – I think they were around about £199.99 mark and we also used to stock the Nostalgia Range Twin Tub which was around £399? I would imagine given the utter trash they were, they are all long gone on the way to SITA.
When Snot Green Kettles came out, (Morphy Richards you have a lot to answer for!) we prayed in our showroom that Servis wouldn’t bring a one of that colour out. It was bad enough being pestered by kids for a Servis Quartz Frog.
Now it’s black that is en Vogue? , why no go the whole hog and have a Sky Blue Pink with Yellow Dots One or even better a Tartan Paint One! Whinge….Mutter…..Moan!
White for me Every time……apart from me cooker as it’s Chrome.

Firstly I am no expert, but you could try to give the water board a ring and ask them how hard is your water on the clarke scale. Depending on the result you will then need to adjust your water softner & your rinse aid dispenser settings. i.e turn them up or turn them down depending on your current settings. It sounds as if the settings need tweaking!

If you used a Credit Card and the cost was over £100 & under £30,000 then the good news is that you are afforded extra protection in law & so under the Consumer Credit Act of 1976, if your supplier does not fulfil his contract with you in some way, or the goods are faulty, your card issuer has joint liability with the supplier of the goods, and you can therefore seek compensation from the card issuer if you get no joy from the supplier even if your orginal supplier has gone bust! – Contact your card company.
I am afraid if you used a Debit Card (not a credit card) you are not afforded the same courtesy but some banks do take pity sometimes and it would be a case of checking with your bank to see what they say.

Thank you Kwatt for your post.
I confess I really don’t see the point in why an appliance should need a smartcard/reader unless of course I am missing something?…..Perhaps the plan is that you can watch SKY tv on your washer? LOL!
Whose to say the next step will be connecting your appliance to the Internet so that your number of washes & your smalls can be remotely monitored? Spooky!!Then again one wonders perhaps if by accident you upset the man from Merloni (by not putting enough Sugar in his Coffee) that he then puts a card in your machine to shut it down????????
Oh God, how soon before other makers catch on to such technology……..Big Brother coming soon to a kitchen near you!
Frightened – WQ 😯

Probably not a lot of use to you I am afraid, but my Sister used to work for a coffee shop/bakers chain that had one of these commercial machines. She used to operate the said machine in which you pass through customers dishes/trays. She tells me that the Rinse Aid & Detergent Dispensers were wall mounted on to the back wall into a Stainless Steel bracket & the bottles went in upside down. The machine would then take the required dosage of Detergent and Rinse aid automatically. Suggest you try http://www.hobartuk.com/hobartUK.html they may be able to supply you with the detergent dispenser.
Hope that helps – WQ 😀

No you wont need a smart card to opertae the machine, the smart card is for reprograming the new board (Arcadia Board). It is so far fitted to washing machines WIB range, new dishwashers some cooking platforms. In the end though Arcadia technology will be fitted to everything that Indesit produce.
Kev
Thanks for your reply.
Can I ask you will there be any benefit to the “consumer” for this technology or is simply yet another “tool” to stop the Independants from being able to service such machines? – Curious?WQ

Thanks Don for the info.
What a carry-on I have had with this. John Lewis rang me to say they couldn’t get a one, several indies rang didn’t want to know, Bosch UK not very helpfull, one girl I spoke to was even adamant they didn’t make such a ruddy thing so small. Eventualy I rang a firm in Morpeth (20miles away) who were able to help and so I now am the proud owner of a Baby Bosch. – The chap was very helpfull and advised that the only thing the machine may fail with is the heaters are very prone to going, but not to expensive to replace. – So here’s to Bosch and my 2yrs warranty!

People still buy them though, they look cheap so people assume it’s a bargain. 😕
Poor veloce is looking to buy one in this thread as it’s cheap but, there’s a reason for that. 😉
K.
I bought it off a friend and it was 4yr old then so 6yrs? probably a record in Haier Terms. Now I am having problems trying to source a Bosch Compact machine. According to one indy I rang this morning, he advises the machine is now discontinued. I have asked John Lewis’s in town and am awaiting a phonecall. Failing that a bigger kitchen needed or a Proline One?…….the thought fills me with fear! 😥

Let me see, when you open the tub, yes there is a small smell of fragrance, nothing major, & it doesn’t stay in your clothes as it were. It comes in a plastic tub, and when you open the tub, there are…..how can I describe this…….something rather like a liquitab but instead of liquid in it, it is powder.
I would suggest you try one in your machine instead of two if you have a water softner. If you PM me your details, I am more than happy to send you a couple of the soft-tabs through the post for you to try.WQ

I see that others before me have recomended Aquados Non Bio. My hubby has sensitive skin due to kidney failure and the inbalance of his phosphate levels. (Makes his skin very itchy) I have tried a lot of the “non bio’s” and the Ecover’s & the Auntie Vera whatsits all to no avail.
The exception to this is Aquados! It was a suggestion I think by Kwatt to try Aquados and after some difficulties in sourcing the product I managed to get a tub from Farm Foods Ltd (Priced at £1.50) for a tub (recently gone up to £1.75) but it does exactly what it says on the tub, one tab in the drum for light loads, 2 for heavy soil. Washes very well IMO if not better than Ariel & my hubby doesn’t react to it. I thoroughly recomend it if you can get it.
