    Re: Who uses agents?

    I agree Kwatt,
I only got in with CDA because I was the only engineer of the previous company I was with which did their work which was set up by their current rep who we were on good terms with. I have tried with other companys for agent work and got nowhere.
It’s not un common for a last minuite phone call from CDA asking me to do a days work tomorow because they have an engineer down.
I jump to it every time as I really want their work and I have them at the top of my priority as they do send me plenty of work which I need because I have zero’d my cliant base after jumping ship.
CDA will always be a priority to me as long as they continue to use me.

    Re: Who uses agents?

    go to http://www.cda-europe.com

It’s a massive company based in Nottingham, mainly integrated white goods.
They have their own engineers but occaisonaly they use agents.
I have done lots of work for them in the past over a long period of time and I have recently set up my own company and they have continued to use me.
I love doing it, it pays well and their customer care team are fantastic and very helpfull!
I have got to know the girls in customer care on a fairly personal level (without actualy meeting them).

Re: Electric shower repair…. Am I breaking the law?

Well, I went on this shower, it was a valve solenoid that was O/C but I decided to leave it alone as the main valve was leaking and had been for some time. I advised her what was wrong and told her that I couldn’t go any further with it. I also checked out my liabilities insurance and found out that I wansn’t covered.

Yeah, I thought about doing that, but it has blown a few parts of the track away, not just one.

    Thanks for that bazza500.
Will throw in a n interlock at the same time. I wold charge him for it but I don’t want the repair to cost too much incase he just buys a new machine.

Re: Liebherr Fridge freezer warm in fridge.

I didn’t check for power to the compressor as it does run. I will get down to temperature but it won’t maintain it.
    Cheers,

Re: Liebherr Fridge freezer warm in fridge. *****UPDATED****

Went out to this on Saturday.
    It is a model KGT3546 index 25/003
    service number 0970826-00
The fridge will get down to temperature from time to time but it fails to maintain it.
This is a twin compressor unit, and the freezer is fine.
It has an electronic module on the top with a temperature read out.
I unscrewed the thin metal evaporator at the back of the fridge and noticed there was a sensor marked with a green stripe attached to it. I couldn’t manage to remove this either from the evaporator as it was so tightly fitted (is this normal?)
I also noticed a red striped sensor in the interior light part of the fridge. Tried to remove the front panel so I could inspect the module but struggled as it would seem that the doors possibly need to be removed to achieve this. (Is this normal?)
Customer told me that if he presses the super cool button on the panel, he can’t hear the compressor start up.
My thoughts are the green striped sensor or the PCB but i could be barking up the wrong tree.
    Help me please?

    Thanks,

    Rob.

Re: True Manufacturing Co. Display drinks fridge thermostat

when I was there looking at it todat, I had to remove the stat from a detachable plate fitted to the top of the cooler. It would seem there is no fixing for the stat to go????
