    Re: Small repairs

It depends on your location i think, would it be easy for people to drop off vacuum cleaners etc, or are you going to call on them?

I think because small appliances are so cheap now, it really is a throw it away culture out there. 🙁

Thats all you need, have a look at the Gas Safe website, that should tell you whats required for first time registrations.

Good luck with the new venture.

i am currently corig registered for the company i work for, as i am starting out myself i was wondering what i need to do to change the registration over to my new company??

can anyone tell me how easy it is and what costs are involved.

    cheers guys

    Kev.

Hi Kev, you need to register with the Gas Safe Register, who take over from Corgi at the end of March.

It will cost you more first time because of the regisration fee and after that i think it’s around £175.00 per year

Do you have the dom gas safety and ckr1 tickets.?

Thats about all you need to get yourself registered.

Don’t think you are correct with your diagnosis.

It could be the door switch.

Unless you have the knowlage and a multimeter, it would be best to get your local engineer in to check this for you.

Re: Hotpoint WF000 water inlet valves

You should get your local engineer in to service the machine.
They can, check internal hoses, check and clean the solinoid filters etc. etc.

You could also fit new fill hoses at the same time.

This might help you sleep at night. 😉

Re: Diplomat 8552 Drum Bearings replacement

Hi Chris, if you can change a wheel bearing you should be o.k with the drum bearing.
The only difficulty is the bearing shell is some times rusted in, this is where a puller or a hammer and a sturdy screwdriver come in handy. 😉

Hi Brian, it sounds like your heater element is not working.
The machine will fill then switch over to the heater.

Have a look in the shop for a heater and see if it’s worth repairing.

    Re: Hobart Dishwasher CHF40

Is the pressure switch o.k for the change over to heat side?
Is there a boiler tank safety stat?

I had one similar a few months back, turned out to be a broken wire in the loom.
If the loom sits on the base of the machine any leaking detergent can eat away at the wiring.

    Cheers
