    Re: Samsung Frg/Fzr RL33SBNS

    Hi

inner evap cover required.or play around with the magnet on the cover alignment but its far mor reliable to change unit if you dont want recalls.

would also need the serial number as there is 2 different ones available.one with a 2 wire fly lead or a 1 wire fly lead seperate from the 6 way plug.

Re: samsung american style fridge freezer alarm and temp pro

    Hi Dawn

What is the model number and serial number of your fridge freezer, its on a 4″ x 4″ lable inside your fridge section.

the evaperator cover and fan need replacing.i sell them in my ebay shop.regards john

The fan doesnt need replacing as they VERY rarely fail.in fact in the 5 yrs ive been a samsung engineer i havent replaced a fan for being faulty. Also bearing in mind the evaperator cover comes as a complete unit and is normally a consiquence of something else that has failed..ie heater, thermal fuse, sensor, drain heater.

e-mail me some pictures of how its frozen up without defrosting it and i will let you know what has failed.

Yes there is, and will always be, a need for a white goods repairman but he or she will be far fewer in number due to built-in obsolescence and the ever increasing cost of labour and parts. There’s no need for a crystal ball in order to realise that a ‘service only’ business will be the first to fall. Unless you diversify into selling as well as repairs your customers will go elsewhere. If you do supply new appliances the price too has to be right and your margins as high as possible to offset costs. And to generate repeat business those goods you sell must not only be affordable but above all reliable.

The future says you have to go out a grab what you can from it. Sit back and wait for them to come to you these days just won’t happen. If, when a customer comes your way you have to say “no, sorry, can’t do!” Take time asking yourself why, when your shop doorbell rang you had to turn them away, no sale? Ronnie Barker as Arkwright (Open All Hours) would never ever say that!

    Re: Lee’s DSG Thread

    Moved from wrong thread :

Comet seem to be expanding a lot, there Clevedon centre is being extended with a new building about to begin construction, there recruiting more engineers and technical support engineers to pre diagnose incoming calls.

On call is about to go live.

    http://www.oncall.co.uk

As for the Repaircare peeps, maybe they wanted to bump into me

As for Kens figures I have a mix of calls, some contracts pay £30 a completed call, my last yr figures show from my accountants that I’m working at a good profit margin.

    Re: Samsung RS21 Freezer problem

    Hi

Deforst the whole unit by turning off for 24hrs with both doors left open then restart as normal. If youve been switching on and off it mabe that there is a build up which hasnt been cleared and not allowing complete air flow.

Re: SAMSUNG SRS535 LEAKING DEFROST WATER

    Hi

The model number you are quoting is incorrect..there is no such model in the uk.

The model number is inside the fridge 4″ x 4″ approx or on the left hand side outside with a bar code on it.
