Re: Philips fridge/freezer – worth replacing seal? or gluin

    Hi,

Sorry if I’m being dense, but I couldn’t find any kitchen suitable silone glue (tried 2 DIY stores and got a blank look from both of them). I was therefore thinking – is this the same silicone sealant I’ve put behind my sink, to put a seal where it meets the wall, or is there a special type of silicone glue? And if so know where I could get it mailorder?

The closest I cam to a food-safe glue is copydex safe adhesive – apparently this is non-toxic, but I’m not sure how effective it’d be…it’s made by pritt-stick after all…

    Cheers,

    Jon

Re: Bosch not taking in enough water

    Hi Martin,

Apologies for not replying yesterday we were away from the house.

I tried the link but no-one in my area.

Could you possibly provide a bit more detail on where to locate the hose from the meter tank and what I’d need to do to access it.

One other thing I noticed today is that when I remove the filter in the bottom of the machine there is still some water left there – is this normal ?

I’ll follow your advice to disconnect the machine from the mains before doing anything.

    Thanks.

Re: Indesit D41 eroor code ?#?#

It seems that there was a leak, i unplugged it, ’tilted’ the machine and a reasonable amount of water came out. I think the ‘mrs’ hadnt scraped the plates too well, blocked the filter and it may of been unable to drain and overfilled.
    All is well now.

    Thx for your advice.

And what would you like to talk about?

The weather, for instance…..wether we listen to gobshites or not!

Wether we respond or keep stum.

Perhaps the title of “Oi” should be redirected slightly, say Belshill.

Re: Zanussi ZWD1680 Washer Dryer – Dilemma

Hi thanks for your replies !
I forgot to mention that when the machine is run on 1200 spin instead of 1600 it still vibrates like crazy.
Also, the machine is ona tiled floor.
We previously had an old Hoover purchsed in 96 and that was a good machine. Not very noisy, although it used to bang at the sides !!
Can anyone recommend a good brand/model to go for instead ??(WasherDryer)
Or will a different Zanussi be better.
    Thanks
    🙂

    Thanks Penguin45
Had to take the bull by the horns and attack the side fill chamber. It was badly clogged. A good clean and a wash cycle later all seems to be well. Appart from the broken plastic lug that’s ment to hold the door catch in place. Any ideas of a glue that will cope with the 70+ temp, Araldite is only rated to 65 so I don’t expect it to last

    Re: margherita 2000 troubleshooting

I have the exact same problem! The additional problem I have is that I’ve lost the user manual and now haven’t a clue where the filter is(!) – there’s no obvious door that might open to reveal a filter. Can someone enlighten me before I rip the thing apart searching? Thanks 🙂

Hooray!!! We took Allders, who sold us the SMEG ovens, to court and were awarded the cost of the original ovens plus the cost of going to court. For all you people who have a problem with SMEG I would recommend getting in touch with the shop first and then the Trading Standards office who were very useful to us. Good luck.
