The last 3 appliances with fault I have been to has turned out to be the PCB,You can check that there is or isnt power coming out from the PCB from the front at the PCB connections.

    Re: lg dishwasher

this model has a history of the main wash motor seizing or getting jammed and this will cause a E1 error to be displayed.

You should complain like hell to whirlpool customer care, the original boards were crap and extremely poor in reliability terms. The modified ones (as in the above post) are uncompatable with the originals therefore double your repair costs. All this down to Whirlpool product reliability!!!!!

0870 600 8989 will give you the options to choose Service or customer care… good luck, you’ll need it.

    Hi,

Following your suggestion I removed the spray arms to check them. One of them was partially blocked by what looked like a piece of sweetcorn.

I’ll buy some new detergent next time I’m at the supermarket and let you know how I’m getting on.

    Thanks again.

Re: Hotpoint Aquarius TDC30s stopped drying

    Hello again,

I swapped the thermostat and this appeard to fix the heat issue. The only problem was I managed to knock one of the coils (the cardboard bit in the middle bent).

    Now two questions :

    1) Are these easy to replace or am I going to unchanterd waters for my noob approach.
    2) Should the coils glow? now this may sound like a simple question of course but I am assuming this is where the heat comes from?.

More for my understanding than anything

    Thanks

    Paul

It was about 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} discount plus delivery, however, I don’t think that should mean that it doesn’t work as well as if I bought it retail. I would have paid full price if I’d thought that. 😀

Get your point about rocking the boat. What I’m really worried about is the machine developing more faults once it is out of it’s warranty period though. I’m between a rock (or a lump of concrete) and a hard place. 😆
