KeymasterRe: Marriage?
There’s also the difference in the rates between D&G and Ais to consider, with D&G ahead at the moment.
However Brandt continue to cause all their own problems with their back up to us the repairer.
AIS are welcome to the work, as I don’t work for them.

KeymasterRe: Hotpoint Aquarius TDC30s stopped drying
Dave/Clive,
Thx again for the response.
The dryers appears to be fine just the lack of heat.
I will try the thermostats 🙂
Thanks

KeymasterRe: After 6pm calls
As you suggest it does not work for you, for us it suits our customers which is what we require, enjoy your late calls Mark. 8)

KeymasterRe: Hotpoint / Creda tumble dryers not heating
You have to remember that the overall temp is governed by the exhaust stat and therefore the clothes will not overheat and much less demand is put through the cycle and one shot stats, it works for us and obviously Martin too, you could always ask Hotpoint.

KeymasterRe: After 6pm calls
Sorry Mark, we are not stuck in the 70’s and we have adapted. We won’t do after 3.30 in the afternoon, instead we do 0730 calls which our customers prefer.
Most find it easier to go into work an hour late than take afternoon time off. I have two engineers that have 3 calls each completed by 0930 (or parts ordered), the number of calls we lose is 1{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} and lets face it they then become some else’s problem, we even refuse all contract customers out of hours calls, no probs at all.
My engineers have a life too, and as the summer comes with longer daylight hours I’m sure they will appreciate the stand their company takes.

The clothes are not drying I would suppose it is just running cold.
It is definately not making any noise and the clothes are no wetter than they went in.
Thx for your prompt response 🙂

KeymasterRe: Tricity Sovereign Oven Controller
Thanks for such a speedy response at 7.56 on a Sunday morning!
Not so good news about the controller but I suspected as much.
I have checked the fan and fluff, also checked the button switches on the pcb which have given trouble in the past but are OK.
Who are QER?
😕

KeymasterRe: Tricity Sovereign cooker
I also have a Tricity Sovereign model 4638 but the oven controller appaers to have gone U/S.
If the parts are no longer available for these ovens would you consider breaking your unit for spares? 😕

KeymasterRe: Tricity Sovereign Oven Controller
An old cooker this one and I’m afraid a new timer is required, they may possibly be obsolete now.
They did reach silly prices a few years ago and QER used to be able to repair them. You will need an engineer to do it though, and get the cooling fan checked for operation and dust fluff blockages.

KeymasterRe: Hotpoint / Creda tumble dryers not heating
As drying temperature reaches approx 130 degreees and cycles around this it really points to the Drying temp being to high.
The old dryers that used “otters” suffered more failures of the 135 stat than those using 120 stats, and before european legislation brought “one shot” safety devices, stat changes were not repetative.
So for me the one shot suffers from premature failure due to poor extreme conditions, heat, Amp terminal resistance, too long under load to attain cycle heat and maintain it
If you drop the cycle stat to the next one down the problem goes away.

KeymasterRe: After 6pm calls
I seem to remember this is a whirlpool thing, at one time they also wanted to have call centres open to 8pm, that will be achieved I suppose when they shift to D&G answering for them.
After 6PM, forget it, for an engineer who starts at 0730 with 10 calls finished by 3.30. We now wont book an after 3.30 call.
Of course if you agree to an after 6pm for a customer, they will always demand it, as Ariston found out when years ago stating an engineer as part of his week had to do an (yes 1 ) after 5pm call. Total failure as far as engineers concerned but extremely popular with the customer.
