    Hi,

I had this problem, found this forum and did what Dave Conway said. I tilted the machine and got all the water out… After that it works like a charme! 🙂

(Actually my girlfriend had been working with candle wax over the sink that hardend in the drainage where the washing machine connects in to it….)

Thanks very much! Sorry for my english – I’m from Iceland 😉

    Re: Bosch SGS5302GB/09

Hi all, thanks again for your help. Just letting you know how things turned out.

Well I had various attempts at repair myself, but was unable to get past a certain point and had to accept that calling the pro’s in was my next step.

Sadly, the verdict was several terminal failures; The heating element, control module, and front facia cover all needed replacing together.

The cost of the parts alone made repair an expensive option. With the cost of call-out and labour added in, then the possibility of another failure in the near future, there was no contest.

New model en route, which cost £10.00 less than repairs and they’re going to take the old one away with ’em.

    Hi

The bearing change on this machine for an inexperienced person is not ahappy thought and not one that I would recommend,This job is an engineer job.

Or switch it off for 24hours with the fridge door open and allow it to defrost on its own, no fuss.

    Re: Pay Cut!

The easy answer is not to work for those who “cut your pay”, whilst this means cutting your own staff to downsize to those who do PAY, it will ensure you do survive, now.

I now only work for CDSL, D&G, CDA, MFI all extremely good and sound Networks. The only exception is Maple with very low volume and totally crap appliances but at £46.00 per call I can live with that..

Why get angry……get out instead, if you stay in this situation it can only get worse.

The only way industry rates will rise is if we take control of our own work. Whilst the ethos of grab everything going, no matter what the rewards, as it keeps your engineers busy, is wrong. All of you who do it add to the problem and the more entrenched you get the further away the solution lies.

Re: candy cic60 wire came off of timer unit?

    hI,
sORRY I MEANT AN EDUCATED GUESS NOT A GUESS AS YOU MEAN IT.
aNYWAY THE LATEST IS I HAVE NOW GOT A WIRING DIAGRAM THAT SHOWS THE OLD TIMER AND THE NEW UPGRADE, PROBLEM IS WHEN I CONNECT THE WIRES AS IT SAYS IT NO LONGER REVERSES

    Hi Martin,
My apologies, i did not mean it as i wrote it i was meaning more towards an educated guess rather than anything.
Anyway i have now got a wiring diagram showing the old timer unit and the new timer unit. i have the newer one. My problem is when i put the wires on as it states to do, the machine no longer reverse tumbles. It goes one way only but is working 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. if i take one of the red wires off and put the other wire on it tumbles the other way !!!. I have tried a bit of trial and error in trying the other wire on different points but then the machine either don’t tumble or the fuse goes !!!!
    Any ideas?

    Re: LG WM1290FHB

In that case are you sure the error code wasnt OE originally..check the pump filter just in case she had a large load and tried to spin whilst pump blocked and could cause an SE error as overloading the mtor.

    Re: LG WM1290FHB

The fault code of SE is a motor fault or possibly a PCB fault.this machine should have come with a 5yr parts and labour warranty or at least a 5yr parts warranty.

I have just discovered that the drive belt on my Zanussi TC481W has broken. What is the easiest way to get the new belt on the drum? Can anyone point me to an illustration?

    Thanks

Re: White Knight Condenser Dryer Not Heating

I’ve replaced a drive motor and door boots on a washing machine before now. So, so long as it’s not a bigger job than that, I am probably able to have a go myself. Any idea what sort of price the spare thermostat or heater is likely to be?

Re: White Knight Condenser Dryer Not Heating

Finally got time to re-try pressing the red button last night, but without any success I’m afraid. Still no heat. Any other thoughts as to a possible cause would be greatly apprieciated.

As to the lost manual. One quick e-mail to Crosslee customer service, and they are sending a replacement. So thumbs up for Crosslee!
