Re: Service Engineers – London/Home Counties

Hi I’m working presently in property maintenance doing all aspects of general repairs, I had my own car repairs business doing mechanical and bodyork repairs. Although I have no experience with appliances apart from repairing my own I am willing to learn and believe my skills would enable me to pick it up fairly quickly. My current work takes me all over the London area carrying out repairs for housing trusts, and I have been vetted etc as I have to work in peoples homes and low security mental health homes. I would like to hear from you if you have any vacancies you feel would be suitable for me. Many thanks.

    Re: Bosch Dishwasher Door Latch

    Hello,

    The model No is – S5N27B – SMS4472GB/20

THere is definetly nothing restricting the doors from closing ie: tray.

It appears that the ‘Latch key’ on the body of the D/Washer, does not push against the latch ‘jaws’ sufficiently . This movement which is activated like a cam forces the jaws to close and hold the door in place…as clear as mud!!!

    Any ideas???

Re: Indesit Dishwashers and their Problems

😀 ABSOLUTE GARBAGE, EVO 2 AND EVO 3. OVERFILL FOR FUN AND WHEN THEY DO THEY WILL TAKE DOWN THE MOTOR. DONT USE 3 IN 1 TABLETS AS THIS IS BEING BLAMED FOR THE OVERFILL.
CR@P CR@P AND BLOODY CR@P, ITS SPOILT THE DISHWASHER MARKET BY PRICE ERROSION.
THE MODELS WITH HEATERS IN THE TANK, WATCH OUT FOR THESE, THEY OVERFILL SOAK THE SOUNDPROOFING (SMALL SECTION NEXT TO HEATER) THIS DROPS DUE TO BEING WET AND SITS ON THE HEATER WARMING VERY NICELY, ON FIRE INSPECTION ITS BURNS AWAY AND NO ONES THE WISER. POOR BU@@ER THAT BOUGHT IT IN THE FIRST INSTANCE. THE SORT OF CUSTOMER THAT COMES INTO YOUR SHOP AND SAYS IM NOT PAYING FOR THAT MODEL,, WONDER IF THEY BUY CHEAP FIRE INSURANCE TOO.

Re: Indesit Dishwashers and their Problems

Well, I must say, I am more than a little bit shocked. Received an e-mail from Indesit this morning, they are going to send me an information manual! To Australia! This is the first good news I have had since buying it.
Have managed to complete one cycle now, but it seems to have decided one was enough. I don’t think your comment about the mad computer was too far off the mark – it seems to pick a different error code for every cycle. Seems to me it is just testing my patience. Don’t think I have much left.
PS. “Light blue touch paper and then retire”: I’m not sure I follow, perhaps this is a UK “in” joke?

I think God is thinking of his reply….so i’ll let him reply.

However Sean……P&G are genuine, no doubt, at all.

Dasa, and extra members for us, we have covered. Quite honestly, we don’t need the subscriber subscription as it is the subscribers money, not ours, a fact lost on Dasa I think.

PS…I’m all for meeting Dasa, if they want, no probs. I do want an agenda though so we can prepare.

    Re: HOTPOINT DWF50 ” DELICATE ” FLASHING

live in ashton under lyne , tried your link but to no avail

there is water ( i think it is the pre-wash ) in the machine

i ” think ” it could be a ” heating ” problem as all appears normal upto the wash/tablet release point

    Re: HOTPOINT DWF50 ” DELICATE ” FLASHING

    sorry for shouting 😀

when the dishwasher starts it does make a noise ( “whirring” ? ) for approx. 30 seconds before wash starts

i also noticed that for last 2 attempts the compartment where you put the tablet has not opened ( tablet still inside )

it appears that the programme ( any ) stops around half way through it’s cycle ( or at least before tablet door opens and hot water arrives )

    cheers

    Re: old Ariston Margherita AV838C

    thanks for the replies.

being in Scotland we dont usually find many descaler products on supermarket (or ironmonger etc.) shelves, but I will look.

unfortunately I still dont know where my filter (or indeed, trap) is, as it’s certainly not on the front. I’m going to have to take my kitchen cupboards and drawer-front off in order to slide the machine forward and investigate the rear. Don’t ask – how I inherited the kitchen.

    Thanks,

    Iain.
