    Re: stat details needed

    hi there
have been reading all the replys to your problem glad you have solved it but should have bought a vxo ranco service stat as the temp range of the stat you had would have been to low causing the problem you had ie.,getting to cold and not switching off Lec have always been different from most other makes in that the spindle position is in a different place but service stats are ok if you can put up with this

Re: Effective complaining – any tips?

To be honest boys and girls the “sand ” residue sounds much more like starch molecules left on the plates.
To overcome this aggravating problem ,DO NOT pre rinse your pots as this affixes the business end of the molecules to your plates
also increase the dosage of detergent and, remove any large plates from the area direcly infront of the dispenser .

    Re: lg dishwasher

    Hi,

Have a piece of info that may be of help to all the LG dishswahser owners that are trying to fix them….
If your machine is not getting water into it, there are 3 possible causes, the water inlet solenoid, the pressure switch or the PCB. According to the LG techs here in OZ if you have determined that the problem lies with the PCB (i.e. replaced the solenoid and pressure switch) and the machine is either a LD-12AW2 or LD-14AW1 then the board can be exchanged for FREE….LG released a tech bulletin with regard to the two models basically indicating that the PCB can fail causing the solenoid to fail. This is apparently a fault within the PCB. So if you contact your local parts supplier and question them about the PCB replacement, get them to ring LG to confirm the free replacement of the PCB. I have just recently exchanged the PCB and fixed the problem, no more washing up for me.
Be aware however that if you have replaced the solenoid with a faulty PCB still in place, the new solenoid may be buggered, so to check put a multimeter over the coil you should get around 4K ohms for a serviceable solenoid.

Thank You. My machine is about 8 years old so I think I’ll just go and buy a new one. Now, what to buy???

Re: Zanussi skips wash to last 3 mins of programme

    Thanks Martin
I’ve checked all the inlet and outlet filters. Sucked and blown the outlet pipe. All seem to be fine. It does look like I might need to call an engineer out. I’ve checked the repairs@ but no service company comes up. My post code is NG2 – can you recommend anyone? Should I go with Zanussi/Service Force or should I go with an independent?
    thanks

    Re: Hoover Softwave 1100 washer/dryer

The inner door trim doesnt saeem to have a full part number. I took it off and all it has is the Hoover logo and H2 -1 The actual front cover has a part number ofD37341-530 issue / MJ26529D H1. As I said initially, I only want whatever bit has the plastic clip that holds the door shut into the washer/dryer itself. Is that enough info or do you need more?

    Re: LG washing machine bearings

The job is a total strip down of the appliance, bearing in mind that this appliance usually comes with a 5yr parts and labour warranty or a 5 yr parts warranty depending on where you purchased it.for an experienced engineer its a 1 – 1 1/2 hr job.

bearing in mind that the tank single tank design and not a split unit it may be possible to get the complete outer tank if you dont fancy getting your knuckles hit with a hammer whilst knocking the old bearings out.

ask on repairs@ to see what the cost from your local engineer would be.

    hope this helps

    Re: Samsung Fridge/Freezer alarm

There could be a problem of this fault if one the doors has been left open accidently.

switch the appliance off for 24 hrs with the doors left open and then restart the appliance as normal, this will mean that you will have to find another place to store the freezer food though whilst you are doing this, dont refill your freezer for 24 hrs after you restart it to make sure the temrature has stabalised. If the temprature doesnt then stabalise then sorry its a engineer call.

    hope this helps

What I have heard is that the independants are still doing the work where coverage is a problem but it still seems to be hush hush and nobody is really letting anything out even D & G to there agents when asked.
