sorry for the obvious question , but how can I check the recirculation pump?I’ve got a local engineer coming, but he doesn’t sound very confident about fixing it after I described it to him.

The scandinova at £400 would be my choice and then spend the extra on a 5yr full warranty with Domestic & General Insurance Co at approx £70.If you wanted something with a long warranty.

First of all switch OFF your hobs electrical supply.
If you leave it the hob electrics will dry out naturally as long as you dont spill or wipe anymore water into it.
After about a week turn your electics to the hob back on and hopefully it should be ok and not have caused any damage,If you find that it no longer works then its time to buy a box of matches.
As for your oven,In what way do you mean by not working.

Thanks for the info – by the way, of course I meant to sat ADP 8224. With the Heater, Heater thermostat and spray arms eliminated, am now looking at possible ‘door’ thermostat problem. Do you know where this 2nd thermostat is located and how to access it? What is its function? And, if you have lost the special tool (a plastic ring with hook extension) is there any tips for removing the door facia from this integtrated model?

This appliance was made by the CANDY group for iceland and has had a history for this problem for at least 7 yrs,Get the engineer to totally defrost the unit and then move the defrost sensor that is in the middle of the evaperator on the left hand side. and cabletie it to the top of the evaperator,this will normally cure this problem.

After using the diagnostic programme, it appears that the machine has an error code of E85 – can anyone tell me what this means?

I cant find anything begining with “A8” but in the place you mentioned on the door opening, there is a number – “WS 11574500002”. On the right hand side of the machine there is a shortened version of this number “WS 115-001. Do either of these sound like the right number?

I don’t think the door was left open as there is an alarm that beeps if we left the doors open.
But I will try anyway to switch it off for a day.Dave,
I checked with local companies that fix fridge/freezeer but quite a few don’t do samsung as they have trouble finding spare parts.
I did not find any companies with your search engine I think that I should extend the search to postcode nearby.Thanks for you help

On ageneral note the fridge is approx seven years old and the following chassis details were taken from the sticker at the back of the fridge compartment:

Serial No: 70145207hi
normaly the thermal fuse is fixed to L/hand side of the evaporator about 7/8inch dia most give up without a problem or fault heater may have got to hot might not occur again
