Re: Hygena 6 burner gas hob

You are correct, it is only the push button assembly, the button above the hob on show and the switch beneath the top panel. Not the ignition unit

They don’t like earth leakages and react to water shorts very badly indeed.

So please provide the 546****** number on the label attached to the module, there’s also numbers like DMPDC (r5/55 ect)or mini sel(dc) which will help us identify and advise a course of action for you.
We will be able to help.

    hi kheath
im no expert mate but you would think that these machines would have waterproof covers on the electrical components to prevent things like this happening as im sure has happened to lots of them
    servis bad design methinks
    cheers mate

yes mate your right the two resistors ar 6.2k and it dosent kick into spin at all
    cheers

I went to a call to a servis with the same fault as yours, and as our other guys say, Was the white resistor on the control mod at the back. Very simple to replace, as long as you’re competent and safe with soldering!

    😆
hi technics1200 just seen your message, did water leak out of the pipe ad onto the module too mate
where can i get the resistor from mate, did servis supply you with one
    cheers

Re: servis m3510 wont spin ? only 1 year old !!!!!!!!!!!

    thanks for replies lads.
firstly i dosent kick into fast spin at all it just idles round until the end of the programme.
and secondly k, i took the module off and it seems to have been wet at some point as i can see little spots of rust here and there on some of the solder, methinks knackered, but here are the details you asked for mate

    elmarc ancona i
    h8
    220 – 240 v/50 Hz
    1000 rpm
    DMPU /42 R5
    2/09/2002
    546021401 3715

It may be knackered and water did get onto the motor too, but didnt enter any further than the bearings which i cleaned up and seems to be ok
can you get a module like this k or should i try and repair this one
what do you think mate 🙁 🙁 🙁
    cheers

    Re: Ocean APM6825 from MFI

Coming in late here but if the actual appliance is not installed fully it can cause the appliance to move back slightly and there fore not allow the doors to close fully allowing air to get into the appliance and cause premiture frosting of the evaperator or the icicles, iceicles,(dam, can never spell that word)well you know what i mean. 😀

when you close the door do you hear the wooden door hitting the wood cabinet ?.if so it may well be that you need to adjust the wooden doors to make a good seal.

    hope this helps

Why is it that we are still in the SPIN with this company. Why is it still about unpaid bills……

No matter how you dress …the class shows through.

The best of luck to all of you who work this this shower, please don’t come bleating in this forum when it goes sour again.

nowadays some of these modules are much more complicated than the odd dry joint.

    Re: Ocean APM6825 from MFI

    Hello again.

Am convinced I have a defrost heater problem on my hands. I purchased a plugin energy monitor that you can plug your appliance into and it tells you how much power, current, kwh it is consuming.

The idea was to monitor the power consumption to tell whether the heater was working.

When i plugged it in the it was drawing 115W which is the motor spec on the plate; the heater spec is 170W (—-//////—–) that is the element spec right?

When the motor is not running, the meter shows 0W, so the heater is not running; i know the heater only comes on at certain times.

When i looked in the morning the motor was off and the meter read 20W. Could this be the heater running, but clearly not hot enough – would this explain my icicles as there is a small amount of melting occuring?

I did do a continuity test using a multimeter across the circuit i drawn in the earlier post; the reading was 0.3 ohms – is this right? One site mentioned the reading should be low and close to continuity.

    Thanks again, freezer_user 😛

Re: Homark Cooker Hood PCB required

Thanks for the advice Dave. I’ll get soldering! Or maybe build a new switch panel, as I don’t much like the design of the existing one – too much stress on soldered joints when the switches are moved.
    Thanks Again for looking.
    Phil.

cheers k you hit the nail on the head i think
if i take the module off and test all the resistors with an ohm meter until i fnd a dud one, replace it and put it back together should it work theoretically ? 🙄 🙄 🙄

Hi all. Thanks for the info. Found we are still in the 5 year zone. Called the service person out and it was indeed the control module. However, it was not in stock so another visit next week or so.

    Thanks again,

Re: Fan Motor for Whirpool Oven

Hi guys – thanks for the swift response. First time using this site and I’m impressed.

Thanks for the details Dave – I’ve already been quoted a price of £58 from a local dealer, but I was kind of hoping to find one somewhere else for maybe £10-20 quid cheaper.

    Thanks again.
