I too have a select 610 by diplomat. I pulled the housing out and on the top it says hygena AHY3300 – maybe this will help the others too.
I also am after the manual because my oven doesnt work and have been told that should be the clock setting.

Dave Parker spoke to me on Monday and has still not heard anything or been supplied anything to distribute…. he was going to ring Del to find out what was happening.

    Re: Bosch 2260 door seal

    Martin,

    Thanks for your reply.

I can’t be sure that it has not been overloaded in the past but I am reasonably sure that has not been fouled by coins/bra wires.

To be fair this noise has been happening for some time but has been getting worse as more rubberry gunge gets picked up.

The seal looks fairly true to me but I am not sure how to check this accurately. The front piece of the inner drum seems secure.

    No sorry Dave,

It’s got one knob on the left going through to 250 deg and Grill and an analogure display clock on the right with black knobs to control the On and Off I think (that’s one of the things I want to learn from the User Manual).

    Cheers

Re: Glue/New Door for Neff B-AP22-7

    Hi there,
This is the information on the plate:
    E-Nr B1420B0GB/01 FD 7602 Appr-Typ B-AP22-7 195 311020

Is that enough to quote a replacement door price ?

Thanks very much for the quick response.

OK it’s a single electric oven. It is built in with an electric hob (also by diplomat) on top. Don’t know how old but I would guess at 5yrs. Whereabouts would I find this ID code to help you ?

    Cheers

    Re: Zanussi drum bearings

Job is now done: after getting the wrong bearing kit!!

Jesus – the bearings were really huge!

The front bearing had actually collapsed. Fortunately the spider was unmarked. It all went back together much easier than it came apart. Oddle the inner one was perfect. The outer bearing housing had to cut off the spider with an angle grinder. I replaced the drive belt as the old one was really stretched and cracked.

While everything was apart I scrubbed all the grime off the inner drum, , and cleaned the rust out of the bearing housing and put in a coapting of grease to protect it ba bit!

Bit of a pig of a job but thanks to this forum everything went OK. Ran the machine through 2 cold rinses after, then a boil wash with nothing in it; then finally did my towels!!

I am hoping I will not have to do anything more to it for a while!

    Thanks again guys!

Re: Clock/Timer unit for Whirlpool BSO 802 electric oven

Thanks Dave. I think a recon unit might be the way to go, if the price is right.

The timer unit itself is made by Digital Appliances Inc Singapore, and has the following ID numbers:

    00N20170001WEBV 4619 615 02132
    and
    74C05110018

    Thanks for the help

    Re: Electrolux dishwasher smelly!!!

    hi,
salt should be used whatever the soft/hardness of the water in your area as its function is to regenerate the incoming water crystals within the filing chamber area of your appliance.

The choice of washing detergent should be examined as the cleanser works electrically by suspending the soil in the water and any deposits left due to poor suspension will not wash out on the next cycle, but will lead quite quickly to smells.
Try a variety of different ones to see if you notice an improvement.

Check that the inside of your appliance retains its shine and that the door seal along the bottom edge of the door is not trapping food desposits behind it….try a good degreaser available from your local supermarket

    Re: Electrolux dishwasher smelly!!!

a great name there penguin. The dishwasher drains out of the hose directly into a 1.5 inch pipe., bypassing the sink trap. The smell isn’t coming from the yard drain at all, so I’m sure this isn’t the problem.

Thanks for the lemon trick, I’ll give that a go.

I will say our Hotpoint WD is heavily used, but the problems we had were usually related to the heater box falling off. I would also like your opinions on Hotpoint service. The engineers are ok, but as I understand it, they’ve shut down regional centres and replaced them with one big one. It took nearly 4 weeks after an engineer visit recently, before parts were delivered, and it was decided when another engineer visited it couldn’t be repaired! 4 weeks for parts – 10 phone calls, nothing ever logged!! The engineers who visited were embarrassed by the lack of service. Ah well, I’m sure my new WD64 will last forever.

    Neil
