    Hi

The evaperator requires to be at approx. -15 before the fan will come back on.The evaperator sensor is the most likely defect but when its changed leave it running overnight so that it gets down to temperature.

Opening and closing the door will never get the fan to switch on.

This here is a perfect reason to check the UKWHITEGOODS site more than a lot of engineers do..

These problems was reported and was advised about and started the suspisions 23rd may last year and its been a weekly near enough topic since so it’s always been on the first page.

The WTA association also try to credit check and do back ground checks as far as we can.

    Hello,

How long ago did you buy the machine? Did you buy from new?

You may still have rights against the retailer from whom you bought it, although a ‘warranty’ may expire, a warranty is only in addition to your legal rights, not in replace of them!

Reply with details of when you bought it, for how much, from where and what method of payment – cash (either physical cash or debit) or credit (either credit card or some sort of finance agreement).

    Best Regards,

    ConsumerChamp.

    Hello Abelman,

How long have you had the item? Did you buy it from new? Depending on the answers to those questions, it may be the case that you don’t have to worry about fixing it yourself!

In English law, you have 6 years in which to bring a claim for a breach of contract, a very common consumer misconception is that they only have rights as long as there is a ‘cooling-off’ or guarantee/warranty period. Truth is, (no retailer wants you to know this), that regardless of their policy, and regardless of the length of a warranty, goods should legally be expected to last ‘a reasonable time’ and that can vary dramatically depending on the type of goods they are, for what purpose they were bought, the price and any other relevant factors.

Get back to me with the answer to the questions, and we can see if you should expect a free remedy to this issue!

    Regards,

    ConsumerChamp.

robbra wrote:That’s brave Simon, I’ve only rewired one cooker, a Belling (Nat Homecare} in about 1992 where the connector between hob and oven used to melt. Every wire was replaced, took about 5/6 hours, swore I’d never do another. Went home and expected a call next day and for about a fortnight after but I must have got it right. Phew!
    Good luck

I remember doing them, they were fun :rolls:
this is much the same on the Smeg it has a connector block that has melted, I have quoted the lady for the labour and she is happy to go ahead, (more money than sense)

    Hi

It’s more likely that its the dispenser assembly. It’ll leak on the final rinse normally.
