KeymasterRe: Fagor fridge FRC150FF leaking
Hi Tony
Frigidaire had a problem with the drain and evaporator not defrosting as they used one heater to do both jobs, They then changed it to 2 separate heaters one for the defrost one for the drain. How many heaters did it have ?
I have the heater kits in stock.
Also move the defrost sensor to the very top centre of the evaperator to increase the defrost time.

KeymasterRe: Fagor Bust?
apparently in Spanish / European law, this basically means they have 4 months to sort out their debts, but as they are the 9th biggest company in Spain I would have thought the government may step in… but there again Spain’s economy is in a poor state, so who knows

I read a few items on the forum saying people are charged if nothing is wrong. There clearly is something wrong as it is only started doing it in the last few weeks.
Hi
No people don’t get charged if it’s a manufacturing defect. But if there is NO actual fault then no manufacturer will accept the charges which is why the engineers will try to talk through the possibilities to avoid the call. This is common practise with any manufacturer. Some don’t tell you and expect the engineers to suffer the cost.
Have you checked that it hasn’t moved and that it just needs the feet adjusting or that it’s not touching anything ? things do fall behind machines and down the sides.

Firstly the edges of the mesh on the micro-filter (the sleeve-like one) is not fully attached to its plastic framework top and bottom
If the mesh isn’t sealed correctly then you will need to replace as the mesh and filters are there to stop your fault.

Hi
Yes the black rubber top dead centre of the picture. it gets sticky after years of heat and stops the water running away.

Hi
Switch the whole appliance off and leave both doors open for 36hrs. you will need plenty of towels on the floor.
At the rear of the fridge freezer remove the metal plate (if there is one) and just above the compressor (black round thing) there is a tray that holds the water until it evaporates, Just above that there is a piece of rubber tubing about 2″-3″ attached to a plastic tube that comes out the bottom of the freezer.. PULL this off and throw away. switch back on and you’ll find it working correctly.
